15.01.2022 Updating your GPS to the latest firmware version keeps you safe, stress free & on-time! Today I happily upgraded Brony's Garmin car GPS to the latest 2020 maps, and Val's Navman car GPS software plus the latest 2020 maps. Two very happy travellers!

14.01.2022 -- Coming up with the best tailored solution is my specialty! -- While in WA at a low-cost camp, I met a couple who were travelling, they mentioned they were experiencing some issues with their setup in their 4WD, their rear mounted fridge just wont keep cold! I offered to take a look and soon discovered the problem and was able to give them a tailored solution! Implementing a "set & forget" setup meant no more manually connecting/disconnecting the solar or vehicle charge l...eads... leaving more time to enjoy traveling this wonderful country. The Redarc BCDC1240 does just that! It takes the power from solar & the vehicles alternator & charges the batteries while driving or when parked. Instead of running the fridge off the secondary engine bay battery, I utilised the 2 deep cycle batteries mounted on their roof racks, and also some of the existing wiring, & upgraded the rest (by calculation) to adequately power the fridge & accessories, and charge the batteries from the alternator and the existing solar panel. Also, the necessary relay & circuit breakers were fitted to ensure reliability & safety. The owners were totally wrapped with the work done & how much easier their life on the road will be from now on. See more

12.01.2022 However small or big the problem seems, tackling the problem head on, section by section allows you to accomplish anything! This problem was complicated & BIG! Earth moving big! Yet with my determination & skillset, logical thinking, & very minimal wiring diagrams, I discovered why the clutch fluid solenoids weren't properly engaging, causing the change of gears to grind, & involuntarily intermittently steering the rear wheels. Feeling very accomplished after repairing the faulty clutch switching module, fuse block & rebuilding of the positive power circuit breaker bank in a CASE 4690... I've never worked on a unit such as this and I look forward to the next one
