25.01.2022 Great to read about the success of the IdentiFlight technology at Cattle Hill Wind Farm in today's The Advocate newspaper. The technology stops turbine blades spinning if within the flight range of eagles to avoid collision. We're looking at bird monitoring technologies and mitigation measures like IdentiFlight for the turbines at our Renewable Energy Parks.... We've also installed nest cameras to help understand eagle behaviour on Robbins Island and worked with the University of Tasmania to put trackers on two Wedge-tailed eagles so we can gather more information of their flight patterns. This will help in choosing where to place the turbines on Robbins Island to minimise collision risk.

19.01.2022 Earlier this month we spent the day with the NW Tasmania Shorebird Counts team, observing birds and gathering data that is then sent to BirdLife Tasmania for inclusion on the https://birdata.birdlife.org.au website. This is the team on the east side of Robbins Island, where there were very few migratory shorebirds spotted, although several sizable flocks flew north some distance from shore. 03.01.2022 We've welcomed the sign-off of the development approval by the Commonwealth Government for Jim’s Plain Renewable Energy Park in Tasmania. This is the third and final approval required for the project with the Tasmanian EPA and Circular Head Council recently approving the project. Jim’s Plain Renewable Energy Park will potentially have up to 31 wind turbines and solar with a capacity of up to 240 megawatts, which represents a potential investment of around $350 million.... Our Chief Operating Officer David Pollington says it has taken a lot of hard work supported by detailed investigations to reach this important milestone. We thank all the stakeholders for their feedback and engagement on Jim’s Plain Renewable Energy Park and look forward to progressing this development. Read more at robbinsislandwindfarm.com.
