21.01.2022 BOIL WATER NOTICE JINDABYNE - please note effective immediately. Recent wet weather conditions have caused increased turbidity making drinking water in the Jind...abyne, Leesville, Lakewood, The Station Resort and High Country unsafe to drink unless boiled. NSW Health has advised us to issue a boil water alert. This will be in place for several days until we notify otherwise. This alert does NOT apply to East Jindabyne, Tyrolean Village, Kalkite or Berridale. Water used for drinking or food preparation should be brought to a rolling boil to make it safe. Kettles with automatic shut off switches can do this. Water should then be allowed to cool and stored in a clean container with a lid and refrigerated. Bottled water or cool boiled water should be used for drinking, washing uncooked food (eg. salad vegetables and fruit), making ice, cleaning teeth, gargling and pet’s drinking water. Dishes should be washed in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher. Children should take bottled water or cool boiled water to school. 18.01.2022 This June long weekend marks the first full weekend of regional travel in NSW as COVID-19 restrictions continue to be lifted. We are excited to welcome you back...! Normally the opening of the snow season, this weekend will be different to any we've experienced before. We continue to work together to meet NSW Health guidelines to reduce the potential of a COVID-19 outbreak ahead of the snow season. As part of these strategies, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service has outlined partial closures of Kosciuszko National between 5 9 June 2020. YARRANGOBILLY CAVES Step into the depths of Yarrangobilly Caves and you’ll discover stalagmites, stalactites and delicate decorations like shawls and cave corals. Explore six caves created from a belt of limestone laid down about 440 million years ago in Koscuiszko National Park. Come prepared, as South Glory cave presents a unique opportunity to explore on a self-guided tour. You can visit the other caves on guided tours daily. You’ll also want to bring your swimmers because once you’ve explored what’s below ground, you can take the short walk above ground to the thermal pool. Year-round, it stays at a constant 27C, and there’s something quite magical about paddling here in the midst of winter when snow can lie around its edges.

14.01.2022 Snowy Monaro Regional Council & Tourism Snowy Mountains understand that NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will soon make a formal announcement about the p...artial closure of Kosciuszko National Park over the Queen’s Birthday Long Weekend. This official closure from 5 9 June 2020 applies to: - The Alpine Way - open for through-traffic only - no recreational activities from Bullocks Flat to Dead Horse Gap. This includes the campgrounds of Ngarigo and The Diggings, plus Thredbo Resort. - Kosciuszko Road - closed for all recreation and to visitors over the long weekend. These closures mean there will be no access to the above regions including no backcountry ski touring, X-country skiing, snowshoeing or snow play over the June Long Weekend. These measures are to ensure the safety of our community and to ease into the influx of visitors over winter. From Monday 27 July a face cove...ring will be required when visiting Perisher premises including arriving and departing the resort in car parking facilities, while using lifts, on Skitube and shuttle buses, in public places, and while skiing and snowboarding. An appropriate face covering can include a neck buff, balaclava, facemask or similar and should fit closely around your mouth and nose and allow for breathing without restriction.
