25.01.2022 Thanks Merimbula Water dragons

25.01.2022 DBACT would like to thank Chief Minister Andrew Barr and Minister for Sport and Recreation Yvette Berry for their continuing support of dragon boating in the AC...T. After a press conference today ACT Labor has announced that a portion of the $1.7 million, committed to DBACT late last year, is now accessible to DBACT to facilitate efforts in establishing permanent facilities at Grevillea Park. This is fantastic news for the members of DBACT, ensuring that we will be able to continue support and grow the sport here in our nation’s capital.

22.01.2022 Push ups are a bit of fun however the intention is to make people talk about mental health especially during these times. Push-ups for mental health awareness. A challenge to Dragon Boat Clubs to get on board and take this on. Lake Jindabyne Snow Dragons have been nominated by Jo Davis to do 25 push-ups for 25 days challenge to hopefully raise awareness for PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety and depression that drive people to commit suicide.... The rules are simple: *Once you are nominated your 25 days starts * great if you can contact other dragon boat clubs and get them onboard *Everyday you get your club members to do 25 push-ups even if you have to drop to your knees to get 25 *Great if you can zoom video the club doing push-ups a couple of times during the 25 days but not a deal breaker , great if your club members can spread the word on Facebook Let's reach as many people as possible.Let's hope by doing this we can build awareness for anyone who is suffering from a mental illness, you are not alone and we are here for you. Don't be afraid to ask for help #dbnsw #dbact #pushupsformentalhealth #socialdistancing #snowdragons

11.01.2022 REGATTA UPDATE - First of all, we hope everyone is staying safe during the severe weather that is sweeping our state. If your club or members have been affected..., please get in touch, and let us know if DBNSW can provide any support. For our sporting community, a safe event is a successful event. In the lead up to this weekend’s State Championships and Region v Region Competition (27/28 March) we have been informed by SIRC that the venue has been heavily impacted by rain and flooding rendering it unsafe for use and it will be closed until further notice. Given this decision and when considering the planning of clubs, DBNSW will be postponing both events. Rest assured, the team is working tirelessly to put these races back on the calendar before the end of 30 June. We will provide further updates as soon as we can, in the meantime stay safe and dry! Kind Regards, DBNSW Team

11.01.2022 Well, we couldn't paddle at Penrith this weekend, some Snowdragons may try this instead.
