A message from the leauge To all clubs, With regard to the Vic-NSW Border closure and the announcement issued by the NSW Premier on Wednesday warning people in border communities including Albury in saying "do not travel to other parts of NSW unless you absolutely have to", the HFNL Board of Management has decided not to endorse the playing of football and netball games involving affiliated League clubs in 2020 resulting in the withdrawal of the League's COVID-...19 Draw. The League appreciates many have worked hard to include football and netball games this season but the safety of the community takes priority in these uncertain times. 20.01.2022 The 1975 Premiership side was full of talent. Who can name them ??

20.01.2022 Happy Birthday to Sandra. It's quiet and cold, no movement. The intermittent sound of a motor, comes and goes. ... A week of orders and deliveries from loved local suppliers is complete. The prep work is all done now, fridges, cupboards, freezers are full. Sleep tight. As the sun rises the room opens like a spring flower. And the controlled chaos begins. Quickly the smell of coffee, fresh salad and todays soup, fills the room. The banter begins and the men under heavy instruction create thier layers with care. You can feel the love in the room, the passion, the laughter, the friendships. This is why we want to be a part of it. As the first orders are filled it becomes a hive of activity. The well oiled machine kicks into gear and runs without hesitation as we all know our role. Old faces appear and new ones to enjoy the products of arguably the number one canteen in country football. With the rotation of volunteers, players, mums and dads the day is a success. For a small group of ladies it brings a great sence of satisfaction and pride. Their contribution does not go unnoticed as they are the backbone of this operation. They sit with a wine and reflect on the day, but one is already doing the numbers and creating ideas for our next game and that is why she steers the ship. Volunteers like Sandra Schilg make our club a success. We may play in finals and win premierships but in the end clubs hang there hat on great culture, enjoyment of others and life time friendships. We have that in spades.

20.01.2022 In the hub, the skipper is always watching. A special production, brought to you by Max Lynch.

09.01.2022 A great story. This is a letter from Don Star to Alwyn Schmidt applying for the 1960 coaching position at Jindera. But there is more to the story. I showed this to Don and he had a chuckle, why? 'Because thats not my hand writing'... Alwyn Schmidt and Gordon Moll went to Don's house wanting him to coach. After some negotiations they got there man and Mr Schmidt requested Don send a letter to the club so everything was above board. Don never got around to it. So Mr Schmidt wrote the letter to the Committee (and himself) and Don was signed. It paid off with a run of premierships in 1960, 61, 63 and 64.
