24.01.2022 Its been a few weeks since we did a rubbish run... same old same old... Coke cans and bottles, Macdonalds, emu export, corona bottles, rockstar cans, oak & dare ice coffee containers, dog biscuit bulk bags ( thanks marron catchers) toilet paper from disgusting dirt bags, doritos bags... just a few name and shame companies. There really needs to be a program to prevent litter being thrown out of windows... and hefty fines.

Please note - that was the gathered total of all the litter on the grasses area and the car park Sad to see a bobtail didnt make it across the road though. Keep a lookout when you are driving please

05.01.2022 This, my friends, is the sight of a 2.5 year old $20 million state-of-the-art materials recovery facility (recycling facility) going up in flames This is on...e of three recycling facilities in Perth - this is the Cleanaway one and the biggest of the three. Or rather, was. It has now been burning for 7 days. Not just the facility of course, but the 50 tonnes of compressed bales of mixed plastic and other materials - highly flammable and very difficult to put out once alight. If youre in Perth you may have seen it on the news, or seen the toxic smoke or even had to move out of your house to avoid the fumes. If youre not in Perth you likely didnt hear about it at all. But with this facility out of action our capacity as a city to recycle has pretty much halved overnight. More than ever, weve got to refuse reduce rethink redesign reuse...recycling comes last.
