13.01.2022 With increased COVID-19 preventative measures in place, JJs is opening its doors again on Monday the 27th of April. We have taken the time in the last few weeks to further improve our in-clinic technology to increase safe practices. For the safety of our patients and staff further measures will be implemented in our practice:... - All patients will be asked if they are feeling any symptoms of influenza, including coughing, headaches, cold shivers, fever, runny nose and sore throat. - Patients will be given hour long appointments to reduce risk of contact between patients in the waiting area. - All surfaces will be wiped down between patients with a hospital grade disinfectant containing virucide that is effective against most known bacteria and viruses. - All patients will be temperature checked and required to use hand sanitiser upon arriving at our clinic. - Patients will use an iodine based mouthwash before procedures - All denture adjustments will be performed in a sealed compartment in order to eliminate air contamination. - Further improvements have been made to allow for increased intra-oral digital scanning capability, reducing the amount of impressions we have to take for treatment With these measures in place we look forward to providing an efficient, comfortable and safe environment for our patients going forward. 12.01.2022 New infection control protocols for JJ Denture Design In light of the new threat of Corona virus especially to our elderly patients, we have imposed the following additional infection control protocols to further reduce the risk of contamination in the clinic. Patients will be asked if they are feeling any symptoms of influenza, including coughing, headaches, cold shivers, fever, runny nose and sore throat.... Patients will be given hour long appointments. Due to the fact that most of our procedures normally last between 20 and 40 minutes, this will reduce the risk of contact between patients in the waiting area. In the clinic our usual infection control protocols will apply. However, all surfaces will now be wiped down between patients with a hospital grade disinfectant containing virucide that is effective against most known bacteria and viruses. This disinfectant requires a 10 minute drying time to be effective. We appreciate your understanding and patience at this time.
