17.01.2022 Many years ago I was going through a hard time and my Aunt gave me a book on happiness. The book really helped me to see that happiness is a choice that we must create for ourselves. It doesn't mean that you have to be happy 100% of the time, in fact this is counter productive in order to reach the state you would like you have to feel your feelings and not just sweep them under the carpet. You can choose to see the bright side of the situation and build on that - one step at a time. This little picture sums up the book in a nutshell.

06.01.2022 Today I'm very grateful for living where we live. We have a little smoke - compared to other places in Victoria. A little smoke I can put up with. Thinking of all those not so fortunate. The whole state of Victoria has been declared a 'State of Disaster'. Where ever you are, heed the warnings of those in authority. It is heartbreaking losing a home and even more-so loosing your life! Do what you can to stay safe.

01.01.2022 Health Hack... Worry Period In this unprecedented time a lot of us are anxious, We thought it might be a good time to share a little health hack. Allocate yourself a ‘worry period’... Give yourself up to half an hour to worry to your heart’s content. You can allocate one period per day. Once this period is over then you go and do something else. When you are worrying, ask yourself What am I actually concerned about? Be specific and ask yourself Can I do anything about this right now? No? Then park it until later. If you find yourself worrying and it's outside of your dedicated worry period, say to yourself, "Now’s not the time, I’ll worry about you at # o’clock, I’m ok Also look out for each other, ask others how they are feeling, validate their feeling and give them space to talk to someone. You never know, they may be living alone and feel like they don't have anyone else to talk to.
