23.01.2022 Mango harvest 2020 .... big problems! This year mango growers in this region have had a crop failure due to the 2 very hot spells at the end of last year. We had good flowering and fruit set but most of the fruit shrivelled from the heat bursts and excessively low humidity. Here are a couple of pics to show you the shrivelled fruit. There is very limited fruit available, but some of it is beautiful - sometimes one nice one with a shrivelled one attached, but many trees are bare. We will still be selling from the farm, but there will be very limited quantities so get in quick!

07.01.2022 R2E2s ARE NOW FOR SALE AT THE FARM As well as KPs (Kensington Pride) we have now picked the R2E2s and have beautiful boxes available at the farm. The pics are of boxes of Grade 1 R2E2s - large and small fruit. R2E2 can be very large fruit and ours always have a nice blush. The 3rd pic is to to show you a big fruit - they can be as big as 700g each, though we also have small ones. They are sweet and juicy, not fibrous, and stay firm longer than KP - and very tasty!

04.01.2022 THE JJs FARM MANGO SEASON IS NOW FINISHED FOR 2019! Thanks for your custom - we really appreciate the support for on-farm sales this year as our harvest was so poor we didn't go to the main commercial market at all. We look forward to seeing you next year. Don't forget if you need green mangoes for salads or pickles, get in before the main season starts - in January we have "hard green" mangoes available. The main season is in February/March. NB: If you're in Bindoon there are probably a few trays still at the Locavore Store

03.01.2022 NEW DELIVERY TO LOCAVORE STORE IN BINDOON! Attention Bindoon, Moora and Bullsbrook people (& any others!!) This afternoon (Monday 18th March) we have made another delivery of JJs Farm mangoes to the Locavore Store (29 Binda Place Bindoon). This time there are lots of trays of yummy R2E2s (both G1 & G2) - also some trays with mixtures of R2E2 & KP - and also some G2 trays of just KP. If you missed out at the fete, now's your chance! 03.01.2022 GET INVOLVED IN TASTING NEW MANGO VARIETIES!! There are 3 new mango varieties about to hit the market & Dept of Primary Industry & Regional Development is holding taste testing research panels in South Perth next week. There will be 4 sessions a day on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December & they need 160 people to get involved.... They want panelists who have purchased and eaten at least one mango this year. Panellists MUST register. You can do this online via the link: Calling All MANGO Lovers!
