24.01.2022 Couldn’t ask for a better review!

23.01.2022 Kat has been here for 1 week with Float Training. He was quick to learn the lesson and started to crave the float from day 1, but Kat has a genuine worry about being inside the float and this is going to take patient and consistent desensitising to the float. He has come a long way and is trying. Can’t ask for more.

22.01.2022 JK Horsemanship had three horses go to WARHA’s Club Day today. It was a great relaxing atmosphere for newbie horses who need the confidence for their first outings.

20.01.2022 Expressions of interest for Sia. She is one special horse and I am looking for an experienced loving home for her.

19.01.2022 Welcome Candi! Isn’t she gorgeous. This will be Candi’s home for the next 4 weeks while she is brought back in to work and learns a few new tricks. Candi’s owner is offering an ‘on property lease’ once she has finished her training.

17.01.2022 EOI for Sia (C’Est Lamour). 10 year old, 15.2hh, brown Thoroughbred mare by Oratorio. Very sweet and affectionate. Had two race starts, then a few foals. I have done a LOT of groundwork with her which has helped her confidence, but limited riding. The video shows the best of her, but she is still very green and will need a calm experienced rider. A good home is most important and better still if someone wanted to continue with the horsemanship I have been doing with her. I would be happy to help with that and also willing to discuss her staying on this property if that suited. Her training will continue as I start taking her off the property and put more rides on. Her price is now $3,500 - please see latest videos and adverts.

16.01.2022 EOI for Sia (C’Est Lamour). 10 year old, 15.1 and a half hh, brown Thoroughbred mare by Oratorio. Very sweet and affectionate. Had two race starts, then a few foals. 13.01.2022 Nearly trod on a dugite passing by in this mornings lesson. Riley wasn’t as bothered as me.

12.01.2022 One of the most important things Sia needed to learn, was that she doesn’t always need to react to pressure. Being an ex racehorse, any pressure, especially from a stick, would only ever mean GO. She now knows to read my body language and she can tell whether it’s pressure she needs to move away from, or pressure that she can relax with.

09.01.2022 On these wintery days, nothing else to do, but have a little play with my favourite golden boy, Riley.

08.01.2022 Awesome video by Brooke Nelli promoting the WA Reining Horse Association.

08.01.2022 It’s been my privilege to help you horsewomen. I love watching you be proud of your horses and happy when they show improvement. Building friendships with you all is just an added bonus.

08.01.2022 Nothing but smiles from Riley’s riders. After an hour of arena riding, it’s nice for horse and rider to get a 5 minute trail ride to wrap up the session. I try to incorporate this at the end of some of the lessons and it’s a great reward for Riley.

06.01.2022 Sweet Sia showing some groundwork she has learnt. Lovely kind mare who will be for sale after more training.

06.01.2022 Lucy, an 8 year old Quarter Horse mare has been here for the last 4 weeks for agistment/training whilst waiting for her new home. Lucy was the most responsive horse I’ve ever worked with. She didn’t have a lazy bone in her body and she wanted to work. The owner Brooke ended up finding an amazing arrangement for Lucy and hopefully we’ll see Brooke out competing on Lucy some time down the track.

06.01.2022 Even though Sia raced a handful of times in her younger years, I still want her to go through the process like I’m starting her, not exactly the same, but I want to check for any holes in her previous training. Sia has had a few injuries since arriving so the going has been slow, but we are getting there. Watch the end for the silly bits... desensitising her to quick movements, shouldn’t work in roundpen with obstacles in the way and a potential Chopper Reid ear.

02.01.2022 This is a lovely sweet mare. I am asking for expressions of interest for her.
