23.01.2022 New members welcomed. We have very senior instructors and can teach you traditional Karate-Do in a non violent and supportive manner. The instructors were beginners once too! We are not a business, but a community service. We take this point of difference very seriously, and value small class sizes and health and well being over competition and raw fighting. JKA Karate-Do is a great way to work on your fitness and concentration whilst studying real Karate and meeting other like minded people. There are several thousand active JKA Karateka in Australia.
22.01.2022 Training 14 May 2016 at Albert Park. Sensei Lloyd Baggott 5th Dan JKA led the class through kihon kumite and interpretation of correct rhythm in Heian kata. Good training.

01.01.2022 Small class size taught by visiting instructor David Owen 3rd Dan JKA. Sensei Dave went through Empi in some detail, and then focussed the class on the breaking up kizami tsuki (front arm punch), gyaku tsuki (reverse punch), and gedan barai (downward block) into the basic movements. The concept was to eliminate all unnecessary movement to maximise the speed of the technique. Thanks to Sensei Dave for his excellent class.
