17.01.2022 A number of our students attended last weekend's JKAA National Seminar held in Brisbane. It was an insightful, inspiring and exhausting weekend that will not easily be forgotten by those who were able to make it. A big shout out to our own Pol Sensei who managed to break his wrist in 3 places in the process of attaining his 5th Dan! Congratulations Sensei! Also Scotty Denholm from our Sunshine Coast sister club who attained his Shodan - black belt!... We continue to train traditional budo karate at our dojo on Mondays and Thursdays. Visitors and beginners welcome.

12.01.2022 Quick announcement. We’re consolidating JKA Brisbane’s FB presence and as such will be shutting down and deleting this account in the next few weeks. If you’d like to continue following the Grange dojo, please hop over to JKA Brisbane - Grange. Osu

10.01.2022 Another great class from Pierre Brits Sensei tonight starting with Bassai Dai to warm up then kumite drills with Heian Nidan in between. Kumite concentrated on distance and it's importance, how to make it and break it. We did some Sen no Sen exercises and pad work. A good feeling in the dojo with Brits Sensei finishing with a talk about JKA camaraderie and it's importance.
