23.01.2022 JKA Mildura training is postponed for this week, while we wait further information from the Victorian Government. We will update members by the end of the week, as soon as we receive clarification, and we are hoping to be able to resume classes soon. Oss

21.01.2022 Congratulations to all students who successfully graded this week. Particularly outstanding efforts paid off for Caelan (5th Kyu Blue belt), Richard (7th Kyu Orange belt), and Jayden (8th Kyu full Yellow belt)

19.01.2022 JKA Mildura regretfully announces that classes are postponed until government restrictions are lifted. Members are encouraged to keep practising at home. Please don't hesitate to call your instructors if you have any questions. Oss

19.01.2022 Great news!!! We can open up the dojo and start training again. The first session will be at 6:30 pm on Thursday November 5th. As we have not been training for quite a while, the first few sessions will be fairly relaxed and of reasonably low intensity. Training will be no contact, and adhering to social distancing rules.... Maximum number of members for our dojo will be 10 people training. Hand sanitiser will be made available, and a record of participants will be kept. Please bring your own water bottle. We are looking forward to seeing members return. Don't worry if you have lost fitness or forgotten things during the lockdown... Many people will feel this way, so the best thing we can do is get back to training to regain fitness and knowledge! See more

17.01.2022 Classes resume Monday (4 Jan) 6.30pm. What a great way to recover from Xmas and New Year :) Beginners of all ages welcome. The start of the year is a great time to start training. Karate helps develop strength, coordination and agility and can be practised by men, women and children. It requires no special equipment. Karate fosters the development of spiritual qualities: courage, courtesy, integrity, humility and self-control.... JKA Mildura continues to follow Victorian Government COVID-safe guidelines. Hand sanitiser is available, and a record of participants will be kept. Please bring your own water bottle. See more

16.01.2022 Updated JKA Kata and Meanings

13.01.2022 Hi everyone. I hope you all had a great and happy Christmas. I wish everyone a most successful and productive 2019. The Mildura Branch of JKAA is resuming Karate training on Monday the 7th of January and hope all existing members are able to make it. For anyone who is interested, this is a great time to join in and learn an art that has many fantastic personal benefits. The dojo is situated up the stairs at 42 Deakin Ave Mildura. I look forward to seeing you there. Your Instructors Ron and Phil.

09.01.2022 This time next week Nishimura Shihan and Ueda Sensei will be in Adelaide. On-line registrations close on the 24th of Feb. https://www.jkaaustralia.com.au/member//seminar-tour-2020/ Don't miss this fantastic opportunity to train under one of JKA HQ's most dynamic instructors.

04.01.2022 JKA Mildura is currently continuing classes. We have, however, made some changes; kihon and kata are now the main focus. Kumite will not be included until further notice. During training, we are observing 1.5m distancing between students, so we reserve the right to limit class sizes if the number of students exceeds our floor area divided by 4, in accordance with Australian Government guidelines.... Greetings will, as always, be rei (bow) instead of handshakes. Students are asked to bring their own water bottles for regular hydration, and encouraged to use hand sanitiser before and after contacting any surfaces on their way to and from the dojo, as well as at the dojo. Regular cleaning of dojo surfaces and supply of soap for hand washing are in place. Cover coughs and sneezes, dispose of tissues, and wash your hands. If you are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with a confirmed case of coronavirus, please stay away from training and seek medical advice. We hope these procedures will ensure all members are able to stay healthy and fit during this difficult time for everyone. We will notify members of any changes as they arise. Please consider others, particularly older people who are most at risk. By looking after each other, we live the philosophy of respect, the beginning and end of Karate. Oss
