If it doesnt look like youve got what theyre looking for, theyll hit that back button and find someone else who does. Heres an example - can anyone tell me, in a nutshell, what KPMG does? If your business relies on high volume repeat customers, eg coffee shop, takeaway, dining etc then foursquare could be a great little social app to generate visitors and reward repeat customers.

24.01.2022 So, big news for Typekit! What is Typekit? Its a service that allows us to use a whole lot more fonts on our websites than used to be possible. This is good news for this service, as Adobe is an obvious heavyweight in the industry, and it means more innovation and reliability in the area of online typefaces.

It reminds me of a quote by Henry Ford - "Thinking is the hardest work there is, which is probably the reason why so few engage in it.". It's easy sometimes to dive straight into something just to feel like you're getting work done, but often, taking the time to really think it through properly in the first place can save hours of wasted effort (and expensive mistakes) later on.

17.01.2022 Ive been working on upgrading the I Do Gowns website over the Christmas break. One issue thats very important when creating a web application is to keep the page loads as quick as possible (otherwise people get impatient, and leave). Ive spent the night optimising a single query that was taking 2.2 seconds, down to .2 seconds - or 10 times faster. It may not seem much overall, but when hundreds of people are viewing the site at a time, it makes a big difference!

16.01.2022 Todays BNI 60 Seconds - ask yourself whether youve used a Search Engine in the past two weeks. Most people have! The next question is what if those people were searching for YOUR service or business? Would they have found you in the search results?? If not, it may be time for a consultation with Jacob at JKB :-)

16.01.2022 I keep coming across websites that use page1.html, page2.html as their page filenames - this can hamper search engine optimisation (you can use keywords in your filenames!) AND it makes it harder for users to remember which page they were on. More about this soon :-)
