24.01.2022 Four tips to avoid when writing your menu: 1. Clip Art. Clip art will not do your menu any justice at all, it will look like your menu was made from a home computer for your son or daughters school project. It is crucial that your menu is kept professional. So using some professional photography of menu items will give a more professional touch. Remember; a picture paints a 1000 words.... 2. Too much technical jargon. Garden Salad: chiffonade Romaine lettuce, topped with Julienne red bell peppers, and brunoise onions. irrelevant information. Most people, unless they are French wouldnt know what a brunoise is or Julienne. Just having the name and the main ingredients is enough. 3. Avoid too many menu disclaimers. One or two is quite enough. 4. Hard to read fonts. This may seem pointless, as everyone knows this. But believe it or not; this is common. People think, using bold and/or capitalization helps. IT DOESNT. Using a font which looks fancy doesnt give your establishment a 5 star rating. If you want returning clientele, try and use a font which is easy to read such as; Sans Serif or Times. An Ideal font size for a menu is 12 - 14. Keep these 4 tips in mind on your next menu update. These will help your customers and your staff. 05.01.2022 This campaign was backed by JK Consulting. Giving complete support to bring in the Smokefree policy. Smoking will be banned at all restaurants, expressway rest areas and cultural heritage sites nationwide from 2015. The Ministry of Health and Welfare on Wednesday announced a revised law that will take effect at the end of the year. Some 76,000 restaurants, cafes, fast food shops and bakeries bigger than 150 sq. m will have to make their entire premises smoke-free as of Dec.... 8, 2012. Karaoke and adult entertainment bars will be excluded. Currently establishments of over 150 sq. m are required to make at least half of the premises non-smoking. The smoking ban will extend to restaurants measuring at least 100 sq. m from 2014, and to all restaurants from 2015. The ban will also apply to expressway rest areas and cultural heritage sites including five Chosun-era palaces in Seoul from Dec. 8. Any more information in regards to the smokefree policy.
