22.01.2022 Great upgrades utilising remote coaching app @coachnow_app . New client creating better impact conditions by creating a better pivot and lowering hands at the top. Notice the gap in the downswing is now gone (we reduced steep attack angle) which is also responsible for reducing early extension (required previously to hit the ball). This new direction into the ball leads to pure strikes more of the time and a consistent draw ball flight !

19.01.2022 Shallowing my downswing to help dispersion with all clubs but particularly driver. Listen to how I have gone about the changes and what to look for if you are also too steep coming down (usually most slices of the ball!) Please enjoy How I did it Step 1 - set up ... Step 2 - backswing - added tilt extension to takeaway and spine. Tucked trail elbow (more connected arms to body) Step 3 - downswing - experimented with feels to establish a shallow attack from deeper hand position. Changes completed and current feels are: 1. one piece takeaway (body takeaway keeping triangle structure of arms as long as possible) 2. Shorter backswing 3. Soft hands from the top and feel they are behind me Goal is to have 1 solid swing feel when I play, it helps to warm up and find which 1 feel works for the day to add to picture of the ball flight and target Drills used For Backswing - right foot back (toe in line with front foot heel) full swing into half way finish (S&T drill) - For Deep hands - Set wrist cock P2 and swing from there with glove under trail arm pit - For Downswing - Stall at top of swing and fell hands drop straight down Adding JK performance practice principles to secure competence of the new technique is now where things are at. Building confidence under pressure is just as important as good technique If you want to change your golf for the better look me up online through Skillest app or if you are local in Melbourne/ Macedon Rangers love to help 1 on 1!

17.01.2022 It’s always nice when you are recording and your student holes out! I was just telling @sky_aungg here that his miss long of the green was not the miss.........well the talented boy said no problems Coach, I got it! We are speaking about decision making on course here. This is the next skill required in developing his game to maximize potential out on course.

16.01.2022 Importance of ACTIVE LEARNING explained below; Small clip form a remote coaching session recently. Client has homework to shallow driver path to the ball for greater distance. Feels required (head staying behind the line) and to also create a high draw visual when hitting the driver on course. It is vital that the client understands the goal required before the drill or homework begins. Knowledge is powerful and allows both motivation and efficiency when making a change,... however it is also valuable to give the student room to trial and error and problem solve. Active learning which is an educational approach that advances critical thinking and problem-solving by doing an activity while simultaneously thinking about the task at hand. The objective of active learning is to optimize cerebral thinking and intellectual capabilities by doing an activity. Studies suggest this form of learning gives a long lasting change by creating strong neurological pathways that will create long lasting results. By using too many training aid guides or physically showing or moving students into positions, contradicts theses findings and may not give lasting results. As a coach there is a fine line between doing or saying too little and doing or saying too much, however to err on the side of too little and having students find their way to the solution is going to produce a long lasting change. 15.01.2022 More Covid country golf with the girls today . Using the time to sharpen up the game. Remote coaching available through @skillestapp would also love to help tidy up your game so hit me up on insta or send email to [email protected]

15.01.2022 Snippet taken from online student tidying up arm structure and sequencing. This client lost arm structure early and flared trail elbow at the top, hindering sequencing to the impact area. This drill is a great dynamic drill that combats these issues all in one!

14.01.2022 Winter golf in the country with my wife (behind the camera) and bestie......the way golf should be played

13.01.2022 If you haven’t checked out EP10 with Steven Giuliano, head to https://youtu.be/9OWWkktFcT4. A very visual podcast beneficial for both coaches and players.

12.01.2022 This drill helps hand path from P4 to shallow the club earlier. It also allows more room through impact. A great drill for those who get steep on the downswing (most of us!) Drill credit - @andy_plummer

07.01.2022 Utilising chair to promote awareness of a stronger left hip to avoid a hip sway on the backswing. This sway leads to sequencing issues on the downswing and leads to poor strikes and speed loss. Ultimately the student would like to hit the ball further. Creating less spine extension and allowing more rotation will allow him to stay behind the ball longer on the downswing to encourage a positive angle of attack, draw ball Flight and more speed due to better sequencing!

05.01.2022 Adding head and pelvis tilt (pelvis tilt happened automatically by adding initial head tilt) to encourage better pivot and improve ball first strike. Student was hitting 50% of his shots fat. We also added some extension in the later part of the session to P7-P9. Coming along nicely. Handicap racing down

02.01.2022 Update from last remote coaching lesson. Goal was to find the middle more often and increase distance. We did this by shallowing the club into impact by increasing rotation and minimising lateral movement to the ball. This also helps avoid too much early extension. Achieved
