Born in Sydney, JW (Jake Murray) grew up learning many styles of dance which has led him to so...me great experiences and opportunities such as performing in numerous corporate functions and club shows over N.S.W. JW has had the privilege of learning from some of the industry’s best Teachers and Choreographers. JW is a fulltime teacher, choreographer and coach that has worked at close to 100 studios Australia wide. JW has decided to further his career not only as a teacher/ choreographer but as a festival director/producer. Sydney Tap Dance Festival is one of a kind and successfully known worldwide. If JW isn't in the studio, he is working on his many other companies such as Performance Platforms - a stage and prop company, and RHYTHM DIVISION - a select young mens Tap crew. He is also not only an ambassador but an Australian Creative Director for one of the world’s most popular dance brands SoDanca. JW loves to travel and connect with people around the world and has recently traveled to Los Angeles where he had the opportunity to teach at The Edge Performing Arts Centre. He is set to travel to brazil in the near future to share his passion for performing arts. Stay tuned for more faculty announcements over the next coming days!

A part time talent development and elite training program commencing Term 1, 2021 at our very own studios located in the Sutherland Shire. JLD Company dancers will be mentored by working professionals and top creatives in the entertainment industry with a rotating faculty giving all dancers the... opportunity to work with multiple teachers across a range of styles each term, along with managing mindful practices across the program. The Company program will showcase performance pieces and talent progress throughout the year at half yearly productions along with providing many performance opportunities to assist with talent development, confidence and industry preparation.
