24.01.2022 Last week of dancing.....bring a plate of party food to share in your classes this week and don’t forget to dress up in Christmas clothes or colours!

23.01.2022 Who can believe it’s actually concert day!!!! Don’t forget to bring your dance stockings and shoes, bobby pins for your headpieces, water bottle and snacks in a small bag. Come dressed with your stockings on for your first dance, make up on and hair in a straight back bun. All Eisteddfod group students need to bring their garment bags with all their group costumes & headpieces in it. If your child doesn’t do Eisteddfod groups drop them off to City Hall and all eisteddfod grou...p students are to be dropped off to back of stage door (overlooking the park). If you’re in the first half arrive at BMEC at 9:30am and if you’re in the second half arrive at BMEC at 10:30am. Dress rehearsal 10:00am-12:00pm Concert 2:00pm-4:30pm Can’t wait to see you all on the stage!!!!!

21.01.2022 It was so great to see so many of our JLD teachers, parents and students volunteering at this years Bathurst Eisteddfod. Majority of the time while I was there we were responsible for playing all the music for the competitors. Well done to the Eisteddfod president Renee Fowler, Vice President Donna Miller, Dance Co-ordinator Sue Ellis, Speech Co-ordinator Jane Kensit, Music Co-ordinator Hollie Coleman and all the committee members for jumping through hoops to make this eisted...dfod happen. Whilst we hope we never have to have another eisteddfod under these conditions again we are extremely thankful that all your hard work has ensured all competitors were able to appear on the stage this year. A big shout out to our own: Ava, Evie, Scarlett, Amelia, Demi, Tahlia, Charmaine, Richard, Sue, Jane, Lee, Vic, Jacqui, Jacky, Karlee, Taylor & Leanne (I hope I didnt miss anyone!!!)

21.01.2022 Day 10: Bathurst Eisteddfod Results Today was the final day of the eisteddfod and our four dancers: Tahlia, McKenna, Jackson & Demi finished off the eisteddfod with the tap championship. Congratulations to all of our soloists - Lyla, Primrose, Georgie, Ava, Penny, Milla, Evie N, Chloe, Charlotte, Georgie H, Lily, Ella, Scarlett, Elizabeth, Amelia, Abbie, Evie, Ashley, Nikki, Georgia, Elsie, Demi, Tahlia, Morgan, Jackson & McKenna. 20.01.2022 We’ve had a great weekend performing at the Ooh La La Dance Extravaganza here in Bathurst. I’m so proud of all our dancers for the commitment they have shown all year through online Zoom classes to the return of classes at the studio. You all stepped up this comp and gave it everything you had and we couldn’t be prouder. So thankful we had the opportunity to perform on the stage to an audience. 20.01.2022 Please click on the link below if you would like to donate to McKenna's Dance for Dementia fundraiser. McKenna choreographed this dance as her major HSC perfo...rmance. It depicts the grief that families go through when seeing their loved ones lose their battle to this disease. Sadly, mum died only days before she danced this piece in front of the HSC panel. McKenna will dance this piece for the last time at the JLD Dance Studio's Annual dance concert on Sunday. 18.01.2022 It’s this time of the year again, putting the 2021 timetable together If you could let me know if your child is continuing their private lessons or if there are any students wishing to start solos at Eisteddfods......just remember students must do ballet class and the eisteddfod groups. If you have any preferences of days and times please send them through too - I will do my best to accommodate everyone!!!

09.01.2022 JLD DANCE STUDIO 2020 Exam Honour Roll Ava-Lily Turnbull... Ava completed her Primary Tap exam at the end of last year and received honours plus. Ava is now working on her Grade 1 exams for the end of this year. * That’s a wrap for our honour roll for the 2020 exams. We had so many fantastic results with many more receiving honours in their exams and a few highly commendeds. Thank you to our amazing teachers for their guidance and dedication that is behind these phenomenal results. Keep working hard for the remainder of the year as we have our 2021 exam dates in sight.

05.01.2022 I am so excited to announce that our senior student and teacher for our tiny tots classes, McKenna Mutton, received a scholarship to attend ED5 International Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts. Whilst its sad to be letting McKenna go, we are thrilled that all her hard work has paid off. McKenna is an outstanding student and has set her eyes for this for sometime now and will be following in her brothers footsteps. Congratulations McKenna!!!!!
