24.01.2022 If anyone needs a filter sand change now is the time to change over to glass media. My supplier has overstocked and it is currently 50% off per 20kg bag! - Glass media lasts up to 10 years. - Glass media filters the water 20% more. - Less back washing with Glass means less water loss.

23.01.2022 Just a reminder to use your skimmer basket to catch the leaves before they get into the pump. Today I found a dead bird caught in the pipe as the customer didn't have a basket to catch it before it went through the pipe. Luckily I was able to cut it out and re-plumb it back, and the the pump wasn't too badly blocked.

19.01.2022 This pool was a tough job! Lots of chemicals were added and the walls and floors were scrubbed to remove stains as it had been neglected for a while. After 4 visits I was able to clear it up completely, and now I service it regularly to keep it sparkling and safe all the time.

12.01.2022 A very rare occurrence of a sand filter splitting at the drum. A lot of pressure going through when the pump is running can turn the smallest of splits into quite a big leak. Luckily the customer called early and not much water was lost. A few hours later and the pool is up and running as normal with new sand for great filtration.

04.01.2022 Today I came across this chlorinator cell with years of calcium built up on it. If you don't maintain the correct water balance and check your pool equipment then this can happen easily, their pool as a result of this turned green as it couldn't produce any chlorine with the electrodes blocked like this. 03.01.2022 If your water levels aren't balanced correctly then you could experience some calcium build up on the water line. This customer tried and tried to brush off the calcium but it reappeared as soon as it dried making her pool look old and dirty. I drained the pool below the calcium line and then gave it an acid wash. The calcium peeled off almost instantly and the tiles are now looking new again.
