24.01.2022 Is your lawyer available to assist you with a Saturday auction? Or the house you need to put an offer in on RIGHT NOW or you may lose it? I am!

21.01.2022 It's interesting to see what the experts have to say on this, but ultimately there is no real consensus... Now, if stamp duty were to be abolished then that would really change the playing field!

18.01.2022 What would happen if you got hit by a bus tomorrow? It depends partly on whether you have in place: * a Will, * an enduring power of attorney, and... * an appointment of enduring guardian. And yes, you may feel like it is distasteful to consider - but it's something that you do for those around you just as much as for yourself. If this is something that's been on your "to do" list forever, or something you just want to get over and done with, I can make it straight forward and easy for you - no matter how complicated your financial or family situation may be. Call me for an obligation-free chat about your requirements.

17.01.2022 If you want to buy a property at auction, the time to negotiate the contract is *beforehand* Once the hammer falls, the terms of the contract are set and you are bound by them - it's simply too late to be asking questions then. Call me before you go to auction!

13.01.2022 Will stamp duty finally be abolished in NSW? While it certainly seems to be on the cards, it's probably best not to hold your breath - the consultation period alone runs until March next year. And as with most things, the devil will be in the detail - the precise operation of the land value based annual tax that is to be brought in instead and the mechanism for the switch over.... As this situation develops, it will become an important matter for buyers to understand and be able to factor in the impact on their purchase. In the meantime, here's a couple of brief articles making for interesting reading: https://thenewdaily.com.au//18/michael-pascoe-stamp-duty-/

09.01.2022 Hahaha I can relate... But also, I can help!

03.01.2022 Auctions are allowed again from next weekend, as part of the lifting of some COVID-19 restrictions in NSW. Similarly open property inspections will no longer be prohibited. It's a quickly changing landscape these days!
