19.01.2022 Here's another clip for White Ant Racing, this time focusing on the bikes attitude on the startline in the final two passes at the recent Westernationals. Paul de Klerk runs a Penske Racing Shocks 8987 3-way oil shock on his Kawasaki ZX14, utilising separate high and low speed compression, rebound, ride height and spring preload. These shocks (and their air-shock relatives) have become a cost effective, yet powerful weapon in the racers arsenal, selling for under $2500AUD an...d when used in conjunction with clutch tuning and rear tyre pressure, can ensure aggressive and effective race starts. After reviewing the footage we captured and prepared, Paul has highlighted the relationship between clutch hit, shock compression and tyre pressure as key areas of interest. 11.01.2022 Our first season is now officially in the books! We have a wedding to go to on the date of the Grand Final and unfortunately can't have our cake and eat it too.... A first round red light saw us out early, however not without a silver lining! This time it was running a 10.99 on a 10.95 dial-in against Rob Good. We'll go into the off season and carry out some basic maintenance having achieved what we set out to accomplish in our first season: Make it to the end of each event we enter. Not bankrupt ourselves. Try not to break too much stuff. I have to thank my crew: Shaggy, Peter and Bridget. It's been awesome sharing my rookie season with you all, wrenching, learning and racing together. It's definitely been an experience. My Crew Chief, Zoe Scarlett. From planning our race day, making sure I'm hydrated, organised and ready for each pass, thank you. We've purchased our entire collection of tools through the store and everything from oils, coolant, degreasers and detailing products. An ineffable energy, enthusiasm and experience makes Greg's store the only place you should go for anything automotive. We are incredibly proud and honoured to be part of the Autopro family and look forward to a continued relationship over the coming seasons. To Paul, Luke, Simon, Muzza, Leisa and Lauren: thank you all for welcoming us into your pit bay when we needed it most. Justin is one of two CBR929RR riders that are responsible in part for our choice to ride the Honda and it's served us well.
