22.01.2022 When was the last time you had your ac unit inspected and serviced? We have had a number of call outs recently for breakdowns, only to find outdoors units, like the one below, that have been incorrectly installed and left unsealed. Particularly in the colder months, small animals like rats, mice and even geckos, love to nest and live inside outdoor units, where they are warm and protected from the elements. ... Unfortunately they also love to chew on wires and cables, which can cause major damage to the unit often resulting in an expensive repair or even replacement of the unit. 14.01.2022 Just another system with a small rodent problem which resulted in an expensive repair cost. Rodents chew everything causing damage to wiring and other components Remember to get your air conditioning unit/s serviced regularly to help stop problems like this from occurring.

It’s recommended you have your unit/s serviced at least once every 6-12 months. ... If you have a new system, you must have your units serviced by a licensed technician at least once every 12 months to keep your statutory warranty in place. When your air conditioner needs more than regular maintenance, you should hire a professional service technician. A well-trained technician will find and fix problems in your air conditioning system.
