04.01.2022 Niue is a dream destination. Only 3 hours from Auckland, this island of 1,500 people is in free association with New Zealand, meaning that travel here is a breeze and all of the local Niueans are also Kiwis! With ancient limestone cave formations, incredible water clarity and warm temperatures, there's a jaw-dropping amount of marine life and coral right by the shore. Fabulous accommodation options, delicious food and plenty of easy, outdoor activities make Niue great, but it's the people we met in the cafes, in the rockpools, and around the island that made for an incredible experience.
