25.01.2022 PERFECTION I have been known to get out a string line to make sure a table is set straight and perfectly. I love a beautifully set table - at a special event or even at home. I love seeing people’s faces when they walk into a beautifully set room. It really sets the mood for the whole event. This styling collab with @josiepennicott and @sianjade_roz definitely made a stunning first impression.

24.01.2022 PRINT READY Even though I am not the biggest fan of the whole Christmas period - I definitely had fun working with @la_cholita_sabor_latino on their Fiesta Navideña project last year. 23.01.2022 CELEBRATIONS The invitations have gone out - the planning is in full swing! I’m so excited to be able to bring together our support network of friends and family to celebrate Ruby’s first birthday... and us surviving the first year of parenthood! 19.01.2022 HAPPINESS The best part of being a self employed, stay at home mum is I get to spend bucket loads of time with my beautiful daughter Ruby. And that makes me truly happy. It’s a type of happiness I’d never experienced until I became a mother. Watching her grow and develop everyday is incredible. It’s a challenge sometimes to balance the needs of a very nearly one year old with exceeding my clients expectations- but it’s a challenge I love. It makes everything I do that little bit more worthwhile.

16.01.2022 GLASSES Do you wear glasses? I found out yesterday that I need glasses for astigmatism. I will need them for reading letters and numbers, driving at night and looking at screens... isn’t that just about everything?! This will be a new experience for me!

15.01.2022 BRANDING I’ve been working with @insta.bodega_sur on a fresh new look and feel for their main brand and product range. Together we’ve created some logos that they’re using across different platforms including print, web and social. I love this type of work - it lets me use my creativity in new and exciting ways. I’m looking forward to seeing Bodega Sur grow.

14.01.2022 FLOWER CROWN Did I mention I love all things floral? I made this flower crown for my darling friend @kellydunn ’s bridal shower. It was an emotionally difficult task for me as my Grandmother, and floristry teacher, had not long passed away at the time. When I started making this piece, I had a bit of a mind block - so I asked her for some inspiration... I think she came through in spades. Thank you Grandma, for all that you gave me.

07.01.2022 PEN TO PAPER As much as I love all things technology - nothing beats the feeling of that perfect pen on beautiful paper. It might be old school but I find it the best way to learn and absorb information. I find taking notes or just writing down my thoughts to be very cathartic.

06.01.2022 TIME MANAGEMENT I have always thought that I had pretty solid time management skills - and then I became a Mamma. Not only a Mamma, but a Mamma running her own business. I now don’t think anyone truly understands time management until they are a parent. This level of time management is next level. AND I LOVE IT. The precise balancing act it takes to keep everything and everyone afloat is invigorating - challenging, yes. But also invigorating. This is a shout out to Mammas everywhere. We’re like ducks - calm on the surface... but it’s those crazy kicking legs that keep us moving forward. Keep kicking Mamma, you’re doing a great job.

04.01.2022 FLOWERS What else do you do with a fireplace when it’s too hot to use it? Cover it in flowers obviously! This gorgeous floral installation by @josiepennicott really made an unsightly fireplace into a beautiful feature. Just because it’s in the room you’re using for your event - doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice the aesthetic.

04.01.2022 LOVE JOBS I love a love job... especially when it is to help out a fellow mamma. Although this isn’t the version of the first birthday poster that the beautiful @jaime.arbonne settled on - I really love how fun this poster is. I had a great time working with a fellow artist to create a special keepsake celebrating her beautiful son’s first birthday. And when the payment is made in wine it’s a win win for all parties! I would love to do more things like this - so if your little one is coming up on a milestone let me know - let’s create a special memory for them together

02.01.2022 WEDDINGS I recently had the privilege of creating this bold, bright and beautiful bouquet for the wedding of Anita & Sohan - captured here by the team at @ic_captured. The combination of native flowers and foliage with big bright dahlias and roses resulted in a striking finished product against Anita’s beautiful sari. Thanks to @sianjade_roz for being my wing man in this creation.
