23.01.2022 Bundaberg has the best looking dump chickens by far..

16.01.2022 Some sad news today. As the founder of clean up Australia he placed a focus on what we are all now seeing way to often, waste dumped anywhere and everywhere, plastics in our oceans, and a wasteful society. His legacy will live on.

13.01.2022 For those of you who may not know, this year we are supporting Walk4BrainCancer Ipswich, in support of Cure Brain Cancer Foundation. This event will raise money for research into improved treatments for Brain Cancer. Around 1600 people are diagnosed with brain cancer in Australia annually and approximately 1200 die from the disease every year. Brain cancer kills more children in Australia than any other disease and more people under 40 than any other cancer. Cure Brain Can...cer Foundation is dedicated to accelerating the development of new treatments to increase five-year survival rates from the current 20%, to 50% by 2023. https://www.walk4braincancer.com.au/events/124/ipswich Why not put a team together, or just register and come down and walk with us.

10.01.2022 Work doesn't always have to be an up hill struggle.

08.01.2022 Are you levy ready? There are pros and cons for a waste levy. But the list for each is too long to post here. What changes in behaviour will a levy drive? I guess we will soon see. In other states it has driven positive changes to improve resource recovery. It has also driven illegal dumping and rouge operators. ... What is in store for QLD? I guess the wait is almost over.

06.01.2022 Coming to a town near you? How do you achieve a circular economy when your "recycling" systems are based on collection system only, and your country has failed to support local production, local processing, local manufacturing and the consumption of locally grown, manufactured and re-manufactured goods. All we have is a semi-circle economy. But half a wheel just doesnt roll.

05.01.2022 Come and join us for a walk in the park.

04.01.2022 Does anyone know an excavator operator looking for a couple of months work in the Ipswich area? PM me your contact details.

04.01.2022 Sometimes words just escape me. To allow this operation to continue as it is could end in absolute disaster. For a state Government department to think removing this stockpile to landfill is a worse environmental outcome than the entire "stockpile" catching fire is just ludicrous. https://amp-theage-com-au.cdn.ampproject.org//geelong-fume

03.01.2022 The Queensland State Government has today released it directions paper for the Waste Industry in Queensland. Follow the link below to download your copy. As expected, included in the directions paper is the proposed re-introduction of a Waste Levy for all wastes disposed to landfill. The Levy is proposed to be set at $70 / tonne of waste disposed to landfill. There are exception based on waste types and locations, but it appears at first glance that most waste types will be ...included. This is important in order to drive increased recycling. Most of the states population will also be captured. Also captured is waste generated interstate. While I'm yet to get through the detail to understand how this may impact both the opportunities to develop industry's to manage the waste, and the impact on our hip pockets, it is expected that something very close to this will be passed into legislation in the near future. I encourage anyone with an interest to have a read through the documents, ask questions of your local council and state members to see how this may impact you and what opportunities they see coming from this levy. Feel free to get in touch with me via message, email or phone if you have any questions that I may be able to assist you in understanding. https://www.qld.gov.au//transforming-qlds-recycling-waste-

02.01.2022 While many of you may be taking part in world naked gardening day this Saturday May 5, we will be out harnessing wind energy as we take part in the 38th Bay to Bay trailerable yacht race through the Great Sandy Straight. This fantastic event organised by the Hervey Bay Sailing Club is one of the largest trailerable yacht races in Australia and takes on the challenging waterways adjacent to world heritage listed Fraser Island (K'Gari) over 2 days. Come and watch as we depart ...from Tin Can Bay on Saturday May 5 or as we arrive into Hervey Bay on Sunday May 6th. The sight of over 100 boats with spinnakers flying is something else. This photos was from our position near the front of the fleet last year. The stronger breezes forecast this year should ensure things will be spectacular. Good luck and safe racing for all who will be joining us.

02.01.2022 Another glorious day to dig holes.
