16.01.2022 JAZZ Flashback: Came across a musician's recording of my former Big Band, the Cafe Society Orchestra, which I wound up a decade ago due to the GFC, and because I had plenty else to do with my other outfits. The CSO was active between 1982 - 2010 and was honoured to back many fine local and international artists. A band member taped a gig, circa 2002. It gives an idea of what the CSO did. 11.01.2022 JMQ Jazz Ensemble got together for a Socially Distanced Session, without an audience at the end of May, after months without performing and feeling a bit rusty. This was the first tune we played, to warm up after the hiatus....
