24.01.2022 J Murphy Sports - Burwood park tennis courts: Adult groups are back at Burwood Park Tennis Courts We normally run school term by school term (9 week term with a extra week for a make up week for wet weather in week 10). We are going to run a 3 week program to finish off the term starting next week. This is also a great way to give it a go before the next full term. Please note we will have more options for times next term we are a bit limited for timings for the rest of the t...erm. Maximum of 4 per group: Ill try an update with how many spots are left in each group daily. Ladies only group: Thursday: 9:30am - 10:30am Male only group: Beginner/ intermediate: Tuesday: 7:30pm - 8:30pm Higher intermediate/ advanced: Tuesday 8:30pm - 9:30pm Mixed groups: Beginner/ intermediate: Thursday: 6:30pm - 7:30pm Higher intermediate/ advanced: Thursday: 7:30pm - 8:30pm Please message for bookings. 20.01.2022 ANZ TENNIS HOT SHOT PROGRAMS INSIDE SCHOOLS; Dear Parents, Tennis Players and all Clients of J Murphy Sports, Hope all is well and you have been staying safe throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.... For the time being until school returns onto a full-time basis, whole group tennis lessons will continue to be placed on hold. This will most likely mean all school tennis programs will recommence in Week 1, Term 3. However, should circumstances continue to improve and students return back to school as per normal before this time, we may consider running a shorter program towards the end of this term if government restrictions allow us to do so. For the time being, one on one private tennis lessons are continuing at Burwood Park Tennis Courts. If you are interested in booking a private lesson please let me know. A big thank you for all the ongoing support for our small business that provides tennis in our local community. While it is an extremely tough time for small businesses we will be back before long doing what we love, coaching your children. 18.01.2022 It has been a big week at J Murphy Sports. Week 1 of tennis at all our schools: - Homebush Public School... - Croydon Public School - Marie Bashir Public School - St Columbas, Leichhardt - Strathfield North Public Schools. Plus!! All our entire Burwood Park tennis centre lessons which ranges from 3 year olds to retirees. That includes privates, kids group classes, adult privates, adult groups and high performance training. Why has it been such a big week? Since the middle of March we were forced to close almost all of the business day to day running. THIS WEEK was huge because we have almost the entire business running back up better then ever and it is a massive thank you to our awesome loyal clients/ tennis players. Without you our small local business which provides tennis into the local community could of fallen flat on its face but it definitely has not!! Thank you to everyone referring people onto us. Thank you for joining back up to tennis as soon as we started back in our schools. Thank you for taking up extra lessons. You guys are the reason why this small business is still kicking and the 5 coaches that work within the business are still in jobs! Thank you all!!! Happy Friday and have a great weekend. 16.01.2022 Our second and last day of our December clinic here at Saint Pats! Session 1 and 2. We have been very lucky the rain has held off for majority of the day. We had a little rain where we had our morning tea break during it and went back on straight after. So lucky for us not much time off the court was lost

14.01.2022 New banners up at Burwood Park Tennis Courts. As you would of seen in recent months, J Murphy Sports has been running lessons out of Burwood Park Tennis Courts. Today we are happy to announce this will continue we will be running lessons out of this amazing venue full time going forward. This will includes;... ANZ Hot Shot group lessons (starting next week once restrictions on group training are lifted) on a Thursday and Friday afternoon. Commencing 21st May. Red ball: 3:30pm to 4:30pm Orange ball: 4:30pm to 5:30pm Green ball: 5:30pm to 6:30pm. Private lessons (as we have been doing over the past few months): These will be running every day for adults and This facility is great. With brand new lights also put in we have no problems doing tennis with daylight savings long gone! This has no impact for any of our local school lessons. Same times and days will still be in place once we get back into our school lessons

14.01.2022 Somehow, someway and Im not sure how we did it but amongst all the rain we have had in Sydney over the week we had luck on outside as we didnt have once cancelled lesson. It seemed to rain when we didnt have lessons and not rain when we did. Well done to all involved including all the players who never complained. Happy Friday !

03.01.2022 Tennis under lights Worried about daylight savings being over? Not to worry we have lights at Burwood Park tennis courts. We can run lessons in the normal daylight or under lights at nighttime. Come book a private lesson with Head Coach James. With private lessons allowed and a perfect sport where social distancing is absolutely met this is the perfect excuse to get out of the house.

01.01.2022 UPDATE: 2nd April, 2020. We are back in business and we are very excited about it! We are offering tennis lessons at Burwood Park, opposite Burwood Westfields. With NSW office of sport and State government overturning its decision to close tennis courts (and golf courses) we are allowed to commence coaching again. They have actually put out that tennis and golf are two of sports/ exercise you should consider doing as its a great sport with social distancing already a thing ...well before COVID-19 was a thing. Here are the rules people need to know if you want to hire a court or get a tennis lesson. Coaching: 1 on 1 private lesson ONLY. Court hire: two people per court only. If you have a group of four, two people must wait off the court as social distancing is required. So if your kids are driving you nuts with home schooling how about a private tennis lesson with the very experienced head tennis coach James to burn some of their energy from being inside all the time. Adults - dont think we have forgotten about you. Sick of being home? Working from home? Home schooling the kids? How about an hour of tennis with James to burn off the extra frustration during this stressful time. James currently coaches some top ranked juniors/ high performance students. Jamess youngest private lessons is 3 years old and his oldest current lesson is 73 years old.
