20.01.2022 Key Word Sign There are many benefits of using sign or symbols with your child. Some of those include: - giving them a way to express themselves when they cant use speech - helping them to understand by giving them a visual cue... - reducing frustration when they are unable to be understood. A communication disability doesnt just belong to the individual, it belongs to the entire environment which the individual is the focal point #keywordsignaustralia #keywordsign #slpsofinstagram #speechpathologyweek

18.01.2022 During these uncertain times, we have been adapting and changing so we can continue to provide high quality Speech Pathology services. We are proud to announce that we are now providing all services via Teletherapy. DID YOU KNOW: Parents of children who have completed teletherapy have reported the following: *They enjoyed practising activities in their child's own environment, making it easier to practice at home and in other situations * It can be empowering for parents, as... they can be directly involved in "doing" therapy with their child, with the therapist acting as a coach. * Some children really enjoy interacting over a screen. ALSO, thankyou so much to our loyal and dedicated clients who have stuck with us and agreed to trial Teletherapy at this time. This small business is very grateful to be able to continue to function due to our fantastic clients. LASTLY, a massive thank you to our client and supermum, who allowed us to show just how fun Teletherapy can be. Stay safe everyone, Jenna & Katelyn JMZ Speech Pathology
