25.01.2022 A few years ago I started playing around on my ipad creating digital surface designs. At the time it was just a bit of mindfulness and art therapy without any expectations. So I was pretty thrilled when the wonderful Rachael King of @rachaeldoesdesign asked to include my work in her new book "Pattern Pulse - exploring the work of Australian Surface Designers".... Being included in a list of 100 of Australia's top surface designers is way beyond where I ever imagined my little doodles would be! The book is set to launch on the 14th of October. 15.01.2022 Today I have been prepping for a new job I start on Wednesday. I will be joining Deniliquin High School as a para professional artist, working with small groups of students, encouraging them to make ART their thing! This year the school is running a really cool program working with our local indigenous learning centre "Yarkuwa" running culture classes. Last week the students took part in grass weaving workshops, so to follow on from that, my first sessions at school will be a...bout weaving with paper. Colour, pattern, structure. I think its a good place to start. Super excited about this fantastic opportunity to work with the young people of Deni.
