11.01.2022 Today is day 20 of my 20 things to do for 20 days in 2020. Number 20 on my list is to make a list of your favourite songs, then find time to listen to them. Listening to music can unlock so many different types of emotions, such as happiness, fear, sadness and determination. ... Humans have created music for centuries and we still get such powerful physical and emotional feelings from it. I thought I’d share 1 of my 20 songs that I enjoy listening to at the moment. It is by some incredible Australian artists, who have paired up to recreate one of Paul Kelly’s iconic songs. 09.01.2022 Today is day 19 of my 20 things to do for 20 days in 2020. Number 19 on my list is to take a 20 min bath. What a great day to enjoy a good soak.... I always add 1 cup of Epsom salts to my baths with certain essential oils depending on my mood. Today I think I might add 2-3 drops of lavender, frankincense, lemon grass and peppermint. Epsom salts are a great way for your body to absorb magnesium which helps to reduce muscle tension and stress. Magnesium is one of the most deficient minerals in the body and can cause many unwanted side effects including anxiety. I’m a big fan of essential oils and use them every day, I’ve chosen to make up that blend for the following reasons: - Lavender is well known for its calming effects, it’s one of my all-time favourite herbs, which is why it’s on my business logo. - Frankincense is also fantastic for relieving stress and tension along with fortify and toning aging skin. - I love the smell of lemon grass, it reminds me of summer, and I use it in my insect repellent to keep the nasties away. But it also helps tighten, refine and firm sluggish, lacklustre skin. - Peppermint helps me clear my head and I always like adding something sweet to balance out the other scents. I really enjoy mixing different essential oils together, it makes me happy :) If you don’t have essentials oils you can use fresh herbs or flower petals.
