21.01.2022 Art in the Porongurup today. Attempting to inspire creativity. Everything is made or displayed to show you can make something from natural, found, or recycled/up cycled items/fibres. Trying to create things with an easy process that anyone can do - especially children. Simple weaving frames made using various materials. Red roof of tent structure creating a pink hue.
18.01.2022 Art in the Porongurups residency continues even though the tent was blown and broken in recent storm. Children still enjoying drawing. Sharing creativity with all. Making something from nothing. Without the tent for shelter I can do plein Air painting, and still encourage creativity for all.
16.01.2022 Fun day had at Art in the Porongurup today. Lots of people enjoying the sculptures and the scenery. Did not think to take photos till a friend came by and was clowning around with my hat on. Many people enjoyed a sculpture by George Corke re waiting for a bus. Very interactive. These couples did not know each other before and were chatting happily. The simple little weaving to show possibilities. The event is on every day till 10th April. Hope you get a chance to get along to enjoy it too.
15.01.2022 Popped into Albany Town Hall today. Pleased to see my painting "Stirling's Screaming" in the gallery lighting. (this piece focused on a tree burnt in the Stirlings fire in the summer of 2019-20. Thankfully the regrowth is so good the stump is no longer easily visable). So many really good pieces to see and learn from while I was in there. Great Southern Art Award is well worth a visit.
11.01.2022 Protea flowers added colour on an overcast day in the beautiful Porongurups yesterday. Wonderful scenery, art and people. Good way to spend a day.
