25.01.2022 Planning a wedding ceremony and not sure where to start? The newly uploaded resource "Ceremony + Structure" sets out a basic structure of a wedding ceremony, two sample ceremonies, as well as a few poetry, music and ritual suggestions to get ideas flowing. Check out the last page of the resources, titled "Why not.....?". There might be some slightly different ideas that may be worth considering. ... <3 Jo x https://alifeofsimpleluxury.net/resources

23.01.2022 Working on a ceremony for a wedding in October 2020. I met with the bride and groom a few weeks after they set the date, after filling out the Notice of Intent to Marry we brainstormed some ideas of how they would like their ceremony to be. She wanted: - Family - Love... - Connection - Elegance - Classic He wanted: - Friends - To become her husband - To write vows but keep them a secret from each other until the wedding ceremony. The couple liked the idea of having two small candles each, and together lighting a bigger candle- symbolising the flame that burns within them, the heat of passion, and being the light for each other. Being a celebrant means working with the timeframe you have, be it 18 months, six months, or four weeks. I still have a few spaces left for the 2020/2021 season- I would love to share your special day with you. <3 Jo x

15.01.2022 I’m currently working on a few wedding ceremonies for the 20/21 wedding season here in @dunsborough and @margaretriver- I’m so excited to be back into the swing of wedding planning and ceremony writing.... I have something new in the pipeline regarding weddings too- watch this space! I’d love to have a chat about your upcoming nuptials- from a secret elopement or an intimate gathering of 10, to a large friends and family party of 150 or a casual morning brunch ceremony- let’s... work together and create the ceremony you’ve dreamed of. Leave the paperwork, legalities and the registrations to me, you take care of picking flowers and sampling cake! Whether your getting married on the family farm in the Wheatbelt, in the forests of Boranup, on the beach or in a park down the road, your wedding is your day- let’s make it so. And my Operations Director is bringing her A game this morning

12.01.2022 I’ve been keeping a secret- and now I can tell the world! On Saturday 16th November 2019, I was blessed to be a part of Nick and Sienna's elopement. Along with two witnesses, we snuck away into a secret location and emerged an hour later with a brand new husband and wife!... It was perfect. Simple, rustic, meaningful and exactly what the bride and groom envisaged. Secret meetings, covert discussions, and one perfect wedding- and only made public in front of family and friends on New Years' Eve. Nick and Sienna- I wish you a lifetime of happiness. <3 Jo x Sienna Galante

09.01.2022 I've been contacted by a few couples enquiring about weddings for the 20/21 season- please be assured that our current situation will not be with us forever, and that there will be a point in time where things will readjust and settle into a sense of normalcy. Weddings will one day again be the celebration that they are meant to be, but until then, we will continue to plan for a future where we aren't restricted by a virus and government conditions. Spend this time visualis...ing your dream wedding, do some research, buy a couple of wedding magazines, contact some vendors, think outside the box! As a celebrant, with the current global climate we are in, I can see changes within the wedding industry that will let go of the more traditional aspects of a ceremony, instead making weddings more unique, with more micro-weddings and elopements. Bookings for January- October 2021 now being taken, we won't be isolated forever <3 <3 Happy wedding planning! <3 Jo x

09.01.2022 I met up with a bride at my home this morning to discuss all things ceremony! Her husband-to-be is FIFO, so she and I sat down and worked out a draft ceremony plan, went through some documents and gave the client some ideas for readings, poetry and music. She wanted to incorporate a family tradition of placing two coins into a wooden box, then sealed at the ceremony- something that symbolised prosperity (the coins), as well as the sealed box symbolising the marriage and the... coins being the two people inside the marriage. It was started by her great-grandmother, then carried on by her grandmother, mother, aunties and now her. The tradition is one of meaning to the bride and her family, simple yet effective, and carried on down generations. The documentation can look overwhelming, but with the right Celebrant to walk you through the legalities, all you need to do is focus on your married life ahead, and leave the paperwork to me.

09.01.2022 When the groom starts his vows with "Luke... You are..." And then Rachel and I have a bit of a giggle.

07.01.2022 Thank you to Luke and Rachel for allowing me to share in your special day- I have been truly honoured to spend the afternoon with you! I’ve watched Luke grow from an 11 year old friend of my brother, knocking about and generally making lots of noise, into an incredible young man who, on Friday, made Rachel the happiest wife in the world. A massive congratulations to you both ... @kylieplunkettphotography @thegardensatbullimah @jobarrettlennardcelebrant #albany #bestbros

02.01.2022 In September 2016 I boarded a plane to go adventuring around the USA with my brother. As we were waiting for the bus, standing in front of Starbucks on Broadway in Manhattan, we met a couple from Rockingham. Hayden and Chantelle introduced themselves- and as they say... the rest in history. ... Back then, they had just started dating after being friends for almost a decade... and then this happened. On 7th December 2019, Hayden and Chantelle exchanged vows in front of family and friends- including a few people we met on tour. I started the afternoon as their Celebrant, and finished up the evening celebrating with two people I am honoured to call my friends. <3
