18.01.2022 Providing counselling for people with a disability is the best job but this week has also been an extra hard one. Lost community access; lost jobs; lost sport and gym and dancing groups and ten pin bowling; lost clubs and bowlos and bingo; lost routine and predictability. We are all losing but it is hard to explain the whys- to some people, who rely on others to access all this. To all the disability support workers who continue to create safe spaces and connection and who... are working at limiting the isolation- while coming up with crazy 1 on 1 - 1.5 metre out door activities! You are the bestest! (Me and my mate Dion. His support worker in the 90s. Friends for a life time)

12.01.2022 This can sometimes be confusing- Autistic person, person with autism, on the spectrum- I usually follow the lead of the person I am with and how they choose to name themselves- but there is a strong move for Identity First language in the autism community.

06.01.2022 Love on the Spectrum has had its finale screening. It is a great show. What beats it- is the relationships that I now have with Michael, Kelvin and Andrew. 3 wonderful young men, who were brave enough to share their lives on screen.
