24.01.2022 I am personally enjoying ISO 2.0 Yes there are stressors and moments of boredom. If you got some bad news today like many, from an ISO veteran I wish to give you this advice. You will go on holidays again, start researching them. You will kiss your loved ones again, call them for now. You will reach your goals, plan ahead. You will eat differently, sleep weird, get lost on YouTube for 3 hours and forget the simplest of things. Don't worry about that lost day, it doesn't ma...tter. You might feel strange or uneasy but always remember why you are doing what you are doing and enjoy some rest and recovery. The start is fun & kind of productive, few weeks in is the worst but you will find your groove and all of a sudden it's your new normal. Life seems great again even though by 2pm all you've managed is a shower and now have an in-depth knowledge of something random you went into a Google hole over. 15.01.2022 To the women who were the girls wearing Mum's high heels and smeared lipstick. I watched a show on Netflix about transgender boys going to a camp where they all got to freely act as the glittered little girls they wished they were. They were born that way and so too are plenty of girls. ... I am one of them, the joy and happiness the 5 year old me experienced from that bright red lipstick and uneven blue eyeshadow felt like home. If someone ever tries to tell you you are vain or you don't need makeup, hair colour, manicures or outfits to feel pretty. Simply remind them that these things have brought you pleasure since you can remember. It is your idea of fun. A lot of us in this world are hardwired to love beautiful things. Our desire to be immersed in these 'items' and then living this life is being true to who we are. Decorating oneself should be celebrated not questioned. This goes for all types of people and spaces you occupy. My industry is not considered essential. However, I do believe it is essential to be yourself.
