17.01.2022 I have been asked a few times over the past month or two what to look for when searching for a wedding photographer, I can only go by my own personal experience from both sides, so here is a list of my tips A few tips for choosing your wedding photographer 1. Look over their photos, look at their style and editing. If they have limited photos posted ask to see more, especially if they have no wedding style photos on their pages or websites. If you like their style thats a g...ood start! (having said this, if you have a particular style in mind, ask if they are capable of doing it - ask for samples) 2. Be careful when looking for cheap photography and basing your decision on price alone. Expensive doesnt always mean better and cheap doesnt always mean value for money. (Yes I am in the budget range but that is because I am still studying and my prices reflect this). 3. Dont be afraid to ask questions, ever! If you would like to know what education your photographer has undertaken, ask. If you would like to know what equipment they use, ask. If you would like to know their experience, ask. There are no silly questions ever. 4. If you have certain needs/wants/expectations make sure you ask the photographer prior to booking with them. For example, do you want blemishes edited out of your images or do you want completely natural, do you have a scar, tattoo, pimples you want removed from each image (or main image), make sure your photographer is capable of doing this. 5. If possible meet with the photographer prior to booking, its important that you feel comfortable. Some photographers are more relaxed and others prefer a formal approach. 6. It is completely ok to show your photographer clippings of photos you would like to use on your big day, so if you have a favourite pose you spotted on Pinterest (I so love Pinterest), send it along to your photographer for sure :) 7. I always ask for a must have list. I work through this list on the day and I believe they are very important. If they have not asked for one, provide your photographer with a list of photos that you really must have on the day. The day goes incredibly fast, and there is a good chance you wont even think about who to take a photo with. You dont want to be upset a month later when you receive your photos are there are none of Aunt Edna and yourself. 8. Understand the pricing behind your wedding photography - from your side and the photographers. Know exactly what you are getting for your money. Its also important to understand the work involved that goes into your images. It goes way beyond the hours spent at the wedding, often weeks are spent after your big day perfecting your images for you. Images can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours each to perfect. This is only a small group of tips and if I think of any more Ill add them as I go along, if anyone has any they would like to share - please do!

13.01.2022 Thought some might enjoy seeing a before and after of an image I have just completed. This is where the many, many hours after the photo shoot comes in but its also where the magic happens. I think its the attention to details that makes all the difference, and yes sometimes that means zooming in so far that your eyes go wonky just to remove a spider web lol! :)
