20.01.2022 I absolutely loved painting this commission. The brief was: Family, beach and hanging’ out together, with a Tasmanian feel. It’s a tall one, 180cm x 65cm and I used a custom stretched canvas made in Hobart. Once dry, this will be heading to a beautiful Burnie family home.

Named by Captain Tobias Furneaux as he sailed past in 1773 and saw Aboriginal fires burning or it could be the brilliant orange lichen which grows on the granite boulders lining the bay.... .
