15.01.2022 TERMITES This is exactly what you don’t want in your house! These little buggers were found under a sand and cement bed in a bathroom, there was no waterproofing in the bathroom, YIKES!! There are a few things that attract termites the main one being moisture, it’s very important that the soil around the foundations of your house are kept dry.... There’s also a common saying that termites won’t eat cypress pine, well that’s not true. They will eat through it to get to something a bit tastier and easier to chew through but in a few of the jobs we have been on we’ve seen massive damages to cypress pine frames. Check out the damage to the cavity slider unit ( radiata pine ) and the floor frame ( cypress pine )
