24.01.2022 Pretty glad i don’t accept casuals or walkins. Yesterday i had two people sight unseen wanting to show up to our advanced sparring class with little or no boxing experience then this wonderful chap below who doesn’t give a name in any of his correspondence and lays the line of its all about the kids. I’m sure most paedo’s think the same thing i have a duty of care to my own students and letting randoms walk-in and have a crack is not what i do. i’m all for open sparring ...among our community when coaches organize and attend with their students but so disrespectful to your own club to try and go off on your own without permission . Make polite contact, state your name and background and make an appointment and get permission from your current coach if you have one please if wanting to visit . We are almost at capacity in some areas so for prospective students if the approach is wrong and i don’t feel the person will fit our culture i am willing to politely refuse their custom rather than risk damaging our spirit and atmosphere in our club. 24.01.2022 Hi everyone! Exciting news- we (Joe Walker and I) are hosting what will be an awesome fundraiser for Giant Steps on the 29th November - a very rare opportunity to see some of the best Pro Boxing sparring on offer in Australia right at home in Joe’s place at Joe’s Boxing in Five Dock. Jeff Fenech, holder of 3 former world titles and boxing legend, is bringing his team of boxers including Youth World Title holder Brock Jarvis (17 pro bouts for zero losses) who is preparing for ...a fight in December as well as Luke Jackson, former Olympian and seasoned professional with 20 pro fights preparing for his upcoming bout on the Tim Tszyu fight card also in December. These guys are the real deal and only 40 people will have the chance to get up close and see this top class sparring. If you can’t make it to the event then PLEASE still go to the event link and if you’re able it would be awesome if you could make a donation to this worthy cause! Giant Steps gives children and young adults with autism the best opportunities in life so please help us fight for autism! This is the event link: See more

20.01.2022 More than just a Boxing Club

20.01.2022 It's fight week for Brook Vs Crawford. The first time Brook dared to be great was against GGG who he was outboxing till he suffered an eye injury. Then he went ...up against spence in the following fight who he was also out boxing till the sixth round. Again Brook suffered another eye injury which changed the momentum of the fight in spence favour. Brook isnt a walk over and he's also a switch hitter like Crawford and he faced better opposition than Crawford. With no rehydration clause Brook will probably be around 160 come fight night. I wouldnt be surprise if there was an upset come saturday night. Who you picking?

17.01.2022 Before you step in between those ropes! You should feel confident that you have trained hard enough physically, you should feel that you can handle all styles t...hat come at you. If you don’t feel confident, go through a few strategies in your head until you feel confident. If you are not sure of any strategies watch YouTube and ask your trainer If you’re feeling really nervous, take a deep breath in and as you breathe out, just know things will be fine and that you have done everything you need to have done. When you’re going through your head how you are going to fight, at the end of every visualisation, see your hand raised and just know(same as you are confident in taking your next breath) you are going to win. Good luck Champs

17.01.2022 Fought and beat some of the best in this country #Repost @australianboxingzone Luke Jackson turned professional in 2013 after a successful amateur career and ...is currently a world ranked featherweight contender. Jackson was a highly successful amateur, winning a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne as well as the Australian Championships in 2006, 2007, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Competing in one of the toughest divisions in the Australian amateur scene, Jackson holds amateur wins over George Kambosos, Joel Brunker, Paul Flemming as well as future WBA title holder Nicholas Walters. Jackson was named Australia’s team captain at the Commonwealth Games in 2010 and the London Olympics in 2012. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Jackson won his first two bouts before he was defeated by the eventual gold-medallist Thomas Stalker in the quarter finals. After turning professional in 2013, Jackson won the Australian featherweight title in 2015 with a split decision over Will Young. Jackson worked his way up the WBO world rankings, earning a top ranking and a potential shot at their title holder Oscar Valdez. With Valdez out due to injuries, Jackson faced former junior featherweight world title holder Carl Frampton for the interim title, losing via TKO in the ninth round. Since the loss, Jackson has rebounded with three wins and is ranked by Australian Boxing Zone as the top featherweight in the country. Check out the full post on our website for an extensive amateur record.

09.01.2022 People love to criticise. Hell I love to criticise myself. This weekend I saw one of my best friends leave everything in the ring while fighting for a world ti...tle. Before the fight she hustled, networked, promoted herself, weighed in in sexy lingerie, and then fought 10 of the most exciting, aggressive and high pace rounds of female boxing (and boxing in general for that matter) that you have ever seen. She was criticised, told she was not taking it seriously, that she was just a pretty face and a (very) generous rack. And although those are attributes that she possesses, she is also generous, ambitious, hard working and a fkn legend. Some people may not agree with parts of how it was done, but she wanted to put the spotlight onto women’s boxing, show that it can be just as entertaining as men’s, and she did. She lifts up other women all along her way and is very clear on the fact that this is HER path that she is chosen. And that the rest of women, and people for that matter, can choose their own. But do not be limited by other people’s small minded view of who you are and who you can be. So whatever anyone may think, I know the hard work that Ebanie has put in and I know the wonderful, self made person that she is and I am so fucking proud to be her friend. #Repost @ebanie_bridges with @get_repost Beyond the bantz and fight build up I always have huge respect for anyone I share the ring with it’s the hardest sport in the world, and what we put ourselves thru to be great only from one fighter to another can really understand. Great fight loved every minute of it.. thanks Shannyyyy #Boxing #WomensBoxing #Respect #BridgesCourtenay #Matchroom
