13.01.2022 Today was Anzac Day... a day like no other, traditional services cancelled and we were told to celebrate Anzac Day from our driveways, balconies and patios. Today was a significant day on the calendar to remember the lives of those true heroes who were the servicemen and servicewomen who went to war for us and battled lots of conflict to keep us all safe. Anzac Day was different and pleasing to see hundreds of people commemorating from their homes.... Picture is me wearing my late grandmothers Pearl McConnon’s medals, she was on standby in the medical field for World War II she was awarded with an War Medal and a Australian Service Medal. Pictured is how I commemorated Anzac Day They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
