13.01.2022 eSafety is aware of distressing reports about a suicide video circulating on social media. We’ve contacted the social media platforms and are working together t...o monitor the situation. Please follow our advice below. * If you see this video online report it to the social media platform it’s on, or to eSafety at www.esafety.gov.au/report/illegal-harmful-content. * We encourage parents, carers and educators to avoid raising the issue of the video directly with young people who may not have heard or been exposed to it. Instead, we encourage proactive conversations with children about distressing content they may come across online, letting them know they can come to you or another trusted adult if they feel upset or uncomfortable by it. * Monitor young people who are more vulnerable and at-risk. If a young person is presenting with signs of distress, schools should follow their own procedures for managing and supporting students at risk. * If a life is in danger call Triple Zero (000) right now. * Anyone who may be at risk or experiencing emotional distress, including worried family and friends, to contact one of the following services: Kids Helpline Official 1800 55 1800. https://kidshelpline.com.au/ Suicide Call Back Service 1300 659 467. https://www.suicidecallbackservice.org.au/ headspace 1800 650 890. https://headspace.org.au/ Lifeline 13 11 14. https://www.lifeline.org.au/ Beyond Blue 1300 22 4636. https://www.beyondblue.org.au/

11.01.2022 Yesterday Millie Weekers, James Lando, Max Davis and Quinn Pascoe participated in the 2020 annual Quest For Knowledge. This year the competition was a bit different, instead of a face to face competition at Holy Spirit all questions were answered online. Although the format was different, the competition did not come without its challenges. We each used our own specialist areas to answer all 15 rounds. Thank you to Catholic Education for organising this event. We especially appreciate our wonderful showbags. Update: In what was a close competition our team came second being narrowly defeated by the team from Holy Spirit. Congratulations to all competitors and to those involved with organising the quest.
