The GTM team are working hard in the background managing this unprecedented situation as it is happening. 14.01.2022 Heading to the UK and dreading the long immigration queue? Dread no more. Australian passport holders can now use UK e-gates! Fantastic! ELIGIBLE travellers from Australia can now use ePassport gates to enter the UK, with changes being made to the British border effective from today.... The expansion also covers passengers from New Zealand, Canada, Japan, the USA, South Korea and Singapore, in an effort to speed up border controls for low-risk countries. Travellers aged 18 and over with a biometric passport can use the gates, as well as those aged 12-17 who are accompanied by an adult, with UK border facilities currently operating 64 ePassport gates at 15 air and rail terminals.

07.01.2022 As the COVID19 border closures continue, with no end in sight, we just want to let you know that we are still here and working tirelessly to obtain hundreds of client refunds and credits that are still outstanding. We are aware of widespread issues with the Qantas ticket refund system with some clients having been waiting for 5+ months already. Please note that this is not exclusive to clients who have booked through a Travel Agent, Qantas is proving incredibly slow with the...ir own direct booking refunds as well. Qantas is not assisting us with refund chasers either, we are being advised that we will get any refunds permissible after they have investigated each submission. This means they are looking each and every ticket individually before refunding or rejecting. With hundreds of thousands of tickets already submitted and more every day with the continued travel bans now affecting bookings for later in the year, it is no wonder their wait times are blowing out exponentially. Another critical issue we are experiencing is that Qantas is rejecting refund submissions based on their COVID policy changing between the time we submitted the ticket and the time Qantas actually looks at it. An example of this is: GTM submits a ticket in May when Qantas was approving refunds for any flight not operating, regardless of who cancelled the ticket, GTM or Qantas. Qantas then does not pick up our submission until late June and by this time they have changed their policy to be tickets that were cancelled by Qantas only are eligible for a refund hence our submission is rejected. We and thousands of other Agents are facing this incredibly unfair and frustrating issue daily and to date our complaints are falling on deaf ears. Please understand that we are doing our absolute best to achieve a successful outcome for each and every client but the constraints we are under are unfathomable. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to get in touch with us by all means. We will of course be contacting you as refunds are returned to us by Airlines and suppliers or should any issue become apparent.
