09.01.2022 Be proactive and talk to us about minimising the risk of flooding in your community. Severe flooding has been an issue in South East Queensland in recent years and JCB are heavily involved in repairing damaged infrastructure. Our experience in flood mitigation stretches back much further though. We have over 32 years’ experience in this field working with Toowoomba, Ipswich, Lockyer, Somerset and Brisbane Councils on minimising the risk to their communities from flood. Workin...g with Ipswich and Brisbane City Councils we were first on the scene after the 2011 floods to clear extensive debris along the Bremer and Brisbane Rivers. We chipped and mulched debris and removed damaged infrastructure. We repaired a number of community parklands and have begun building referable dams and levees to manage future flooding events. We assisted Toowoomba Council to crush over 300,000 tonnes of gravel for local road repairs and provided equipment and expertise to Lockyer and Somerset Councils for a range of flood repair projects. In partnership with SEQWater we also repaired a major landslip at Little Nerang Dam caused by flooding. Mine sites are particularly susceptible to flooding and we have completed a number of levees and dams around coals mines west of Brisbane to ensure they are protected against future flooding. In developing our flood mitigation strategies we consult with experts in this field, such as Brian Walford from Parsons Brinckerhoff Consulting Engineers and Tony Loveday of Opus International Consultants.
07.01.2022 Dam Construction - Water is our most precious asset Controlling the movement of water across the landscape is a skill that takes time to acquire. With over 32 years’ experience the owner of JCB, John Beaumont, has certainly gained this skill and he is sought out by industry professionals on a regular basis for advice on dam and levee construction. John’s experience is based on construction of referable dams and levees which are implemented to manage mine tailings, raw water and sedimentation processes. The largest dam John has built to date was a 475,000 cubic metre dam for a mining project. The dams and levees built by JCB meet or exceed rigorous industry standards and contribute to more productive work sites, healthy waterways and a cleaner environment.
07.01.2022 JCB would like to wish all who have been apart of our 2013 a very Merry Christmas and a healthy, happy & prosperous 2014. Merry Christmas to all.
06.01.2022 To the man himself, on behalf of all the team, we would like to wish you the happiest of birthdays! We hope you're having a relaxing day and much happiness in the year to come
