25.01.2022 I dont think I ever put this photo up. It was for a client when working for Frank Grill. Very Versailles, but I designed the Iron Work on the stairs, and drafted all the Panelling and carvings for the walls, which were made by a French Company. Not one nail was used in the assembling of the panels, it was all done with pegs and dowels. The floor design was also be me.

22.01.2022 I would like to welcome my two new clients and am very excited to be working with them. More posts to come from these projects as they proceed. One is a commercial project, the other is a showcase 4 bedroom family home, that I am very excited about.

21.01.2022 I recently found a photo of Frank Grills beach house bathroom, which I drew the plans and details for.

21.01.2022 Waiting for Development Application approvals can be frustrating, but finally my North Bondi Project has been approved after 4 months, with no conditions. Just some advice to everyone, quite a few Councils are short staffed these days, it may be frustrating, but it is not that all of the Building Assessors are lazy, more that they have a back log of things to approve.

20.01.2022 The chandelier has been rewired, cleaned and glass bowl put back in place. It was not cleaned to be shiny, as this would not have have been the original intention. Thanks to Len Shute for his restoration.

17.01.2022 I was just told that a house I helped in the designing of the interiors, joinery and the exteriors with Frank Grill, was just sold. Seems like a life time ago, but I remember the rooms as I look at these photos.

13.01.2022 Not to everyones taste, but I had this chandelier in the Store Room after the clean out from the old office. Gold plated chandelier that was intended for Mary Fairfaxs penthouse in New York many a decade ago. It comes with a Murano Glass Bowl that sits in the top of it. Just to think, I was going to give this to a client for nothing, as a thank you. I have only recently found out it is an asset I should not be giving away.... Am getting it cleaned up, new candles, and sparkly, for selling.

Following the opening of voting and extensive preparations carried out by LUX Life I am delighted to confirm John Knights Interior Design as one of our nominees for this years awards.

11.01.2022 I am looking forward to finalising the design for my new client, Pinnacle Health Clinic in Double Bay. Here are some preliminary rough sketches and concepts for the Reception area. Simple gloss black Trellis work with mirror behind and calm light grey walls gives a touch of elegance and space to the area.

08.01.2022 21 separate Documents, 35.6 MB of files finally sent to Certifiers for a Construction Certificate for a client in North Bondi. All this for an addition to a 2 bedroom unit of 1 Bathroom and 1 new guest room. Bureaucracy gone mad. The life of a Designer.

07.01.2022 I am designing a Granny Flat for a friend of mine, that is to match the original 1940s house. All the way down to the retro kitchen joinery. John Knights Interior Design does all sized projects. We are having fun with this one.

05.01.2022 This is a property in Oberon that was one one of my first with Frank Grill. I remember drawing up all the beautiful details for the facades and interiors. Also the floor planning. It now boasts some of the most beautiful gardens in NSW.

03.01.2022 Just Popped into the almost complete Botany Project. Transformation is amazing. The clients really put their all into making it their home. Some before and after photos follow. Styled photos to come.

01.01.2022 John Knights Interior Design has just commenced another project. Converting a small, well looked after Timber Cottage in Sydney, into a functional family home. The character however, will be preserved. The first plans have been drafted, these will be finalised and then off to council we go again.
