25.01.2022 Couple weeks ago I ripped out a walk in shower as the previous floor construction work undertaken by another builder failed raising tiles and allowing water to escape and cause damage. So we eliminated any more risk and installed a shower base after grinding the door flat and priming and sealing to help eliminate any further movement. Unfortunately due to some covid courier extended lead times we had to wait a couple weeks BUT today I finally got the chance to install the c...ustom shower screen supplied by Kingborough glazing. Couldn't be happier with the end results! Absolutely turned out perfectly! Happy water tight showering!
19.01.2022 A little Saturday job installing and ducting a dryer for safety and peace of mind! A lot of people don't bother ducting their dryers because of it can be an absolute pain. it's not always as bad as you think! Like most things patience is key Happy weekend JT Renos followers
19.01.2022 When Tasmania throws you four seasons in one day, now it's no longer an issue!! No more getting wet and then I can hide from the UV rays in the same token! Winning!!
16.01.2022 Another renovation completed What an amazing transformation! Has completely changed the feel of the room/area! I couldn't be happier with how it had all turned out and how well it functions! ... Thanks Romic and Bernice for being an absolute pleasure to work with on the renovation! Standby in weeks to come for completed photos with splashbacks and flooring etc done!!
15.01.2022 As I near the last stages of this ensuite area job, here is the middle stage of the progress photos for you to have a peep at with a teaser photo for a last photo to give you an idea of the stage I am at! ENJOY!! @ Woodbridge, Tasmania
14.01.2022 As I am 98% done on the Rokeby bathroom here is an update on the lead up before I share finished photos in days to come. As you can see i removed a wall to incorporate the toilet into the bathroom aswell as creating a walk in shower and replacing the water damaged flooring. Framed in the old toilet door way and installing a cavity slider to create maximum space and open feeling when entering the room. ... I am itching to share the latest photos but I need a couple of hardware items to finish it off so I will hold out untill I get them! so enjoy these in the mean time
14.01.2022 Part 2 Notching out of shower base, installation of cement sheet, accoustic insulation and hanging of plaster sheets and the final seal and flex around the floor and shower areas ready for the waterproof membrane and floor heating installation next week. For now I am continuing with framing up a wardrobe/entry area just outside of this bathroom area to get everything up to the same stage so my man @nlplastering_ can come and do his thing... Keen to hear people's thoughts on progress this far! Happy Friday and continue to be safe! @ Woodbridge, Tasmania
11.01.2022 I have been occupied on a bunch of small jobs these past few weeks and I thought I'd share this one with you as I've been a tad quiet on the social media front. This was just making a wall between rooms smaller and creating more of a top to for the odd plant to sit on whilst looking good and creating a visual line of sight between couch and dining table. There was a bit involved in this with maintaining the old original look matching the rest of the house and finishing trims... and renewing skirtings and re-fastening steel bracing etc. Please note tiles are just sitting in place for the photo, as the client is doing the tiles himself In Coming days Has completely changed the feel of the room and light transition between rooms! Happy days
09.01.2022 Have some company in the workshop today #sitemanager #boss #shopdog
08.01.2022 Here it is! The final reveal (excluding paint) Never underestimate the power of a bathroom. From the late nights, challenges, maintaining a happy OCD with the workings out and designs to the absolute relief when the clients both messaging sending their gratitude and saying how good the shower and bathroom works. Makes it all worth it As always I am over the moon with this Reno and will be celebrating with weekend off
03.01.2022 Another ensuite completed! Equally my greatest transformation yet! Please do yourself a favour and go back to my previous posts to get the full story of this transformation! I can't wait for the painting to be done in weeks to come, will finish it off perfectly! As always I am along with the clients super super happy with this renovation! @ Woodbridge, Tasmania
02.01.2022 This is part 1 of 2 for this post As a sit back having a coffee looking back through photos it's hard to believe how this used to looked 2 weeks ago. These are just some of the photos to give you an idea of the process. But let me tell you it's only 40% of what actually happens. So please don't go thinking shows like the block and house rules time lines are actually legit. ... From support beams, removal of walls, repairing and redoing floors, filling in doorways and straightening walls there isn't much that hasn't been done here! Haha Standby for part 2 shortly!! @ Woodbridge, Tasmania
01.01.2022 As promised! Here is the tight little corner unit! Managed to get the doors cut and edged today so thought I'd treat everyone to a 98% finished product. The handles should arrive any day now! There is only so much I can cram into a post so I hope this gives you some ideas of how things are done from the roots without expensive overhead routers with computer programs etc. ... Absolutely over the moon with this outcome and I can't wait to install it along with other parts still in progress in weeks to come
