17.01.2022 I chat to Katter’s Australian Party (KAP) Leader and Queensland State Member for Traeger, Robbie Katter LIVE from Parliament House in Brisbane’s CBD With the 31 October Queensland election fast-approaching, what does Robbie Katter MP make of the Queensland Labor government’s performance? 15.01.2022 As a follow-up to this cycling crash on 11 July, representatives from the Queensland Government Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) have said they will improve signage near where the collision occurred to encourage cyclists to slow down when approaching the veloway underpass. However, TMR officials have said that they will not add lane markings to visibly separate northbound and southbound cyclists, saying that lane markings would create a false sense of security. ...All of Queensland’s best bikeways (such as the bicentennial bikeway linking Toowong to the CBD) have clear lane markings to improve safety. Do you think TMR’s response is disappointing? Should lane markings be added to improve this cycling blackspot?

06.01.2022 LATEST UPDATE: A larger rally has been called for 4pm today (Friday, 11/9) in King George Square. Obviously attendees are encouraged to wear masks, maintain saf...e distancing etc. PREVIOUSLY: A few nights ago, an Aboriginal woman died while in police custody at Roma St Watch House. Angry residents are holding a snap action this morning outside the police station... The rally this morning started out quite peacefully, but without warning, police started arresting protesters. You would think that if they genuinely wanted to de-escalate the sitaution, they would try to negotiate with organisers before just arresting people. Those who are posting up with concerns about the behaviour of the protesters should ask yourself why you aren't first posting up on the social media pages of Queensland Police and the Queensland Government Police Minister about how and why a person died while held at police headquarters. Why hasn't the footage from the cell been released yet?
