24.01.2022 UQ Alumni's magazine took an interest in the recent UBI debate hosted by The Brisbane Dialogues. Somewhat echoing that excellent event, the below article looks at the issue from four perspectives, including thoughts from Greg Marston, John Quiggin, Sunil Venaik, and myself.

06.01.2022 It was a disgrace to see the violent chaos, riots, burnings, beatings, and brutality that came from the Tea Party protests that happened when Obama was the US President. In contrast, the ANTIFA-BLM peace events in recent times are totally (mostly) peaceful and full of (mostly) peaceful peace and pieces of (mostly) peacefulness. Fun for the whole family. Take your kids, and enjoy a pleasant evening singing kumbaya with the harmless hippies of the tolerant and benevolent left. They even provide bonfires, so you can roast marshmallows. If only the right-wing protesters would act more like left-wing protesters, then the world would be a better place. What could go wrong?

03.01.2022 Today I spoke strongly against the extension of the emergency powers to the Government. Rather than use the temporary powers to come up with solutions that are compatible with a free society, their response to the pandemic has become totally dependent on these powers.
