11.01.2022 Simplicity has been a style in itself everlasting. As we welcome in 2020, we can embrace simplicity and learn from our past, like the modernist and bauhaus move...ment’s through to the Japanese Minimalism. Shaping our now and providing hope for our future generation, these ideals can provide relief in the responsibility that lies ahead. __ The futuristic world should be a push for the Frank Lloyd’s Wright less is more. __ No longer should we desire oversized building footprints with no conscious thought to the planets future. Inaction will lead to devastation. It’s all real, people with enough sense can do better and be better and inspire their community as new enablers of change. __ One of the human species’ most admirable abilities is the capacity to drive social change. Throughout history, movements that promote change have been driven by passionate leaders. Whether it was women’s suffrage, the civil rights movement, the gay rights movement, or resistance against apartheid, strength and dedication marked the efforts of these leaders. __ It’s time now in 2020 we all make lasting, positive change in the world we call home. __ Featured image: The Beachcomber 200 Beachcombers were built in Sydney from 1961 to 1970, and others are sprinkled around New South Wales, the ACT and Victoria. These homes celebrated an affordable architect designed house that invited people to both build and live differently. __ Over the past 50 years many Beachcombers have moved with changing times and needs. Many Beachcombers have been imaginatively reinvented, while others exude their original retro style. __ Beachcombers were also ahead of the norm with insulated roofs and walls, which combines with a shaded sun deck and cross-ventilation to make Beachcombers comfortable year round. __ Image via @modernister __ #happynewyear #lessismore #smallerfootprint #beachcomber #minimalist #archibloxloves #architecturewelove #archibloxloves #architecturalinspiration #hideaway #shelter #retreat #homeawayfromhome #architecture #home #sustainablehomes #simple #ruralhouse #beachhouse #homedesign #familyhome #modernhome #homestyle #homesweethome #sustainablearchitecture #house #minimalism See more
