Muscular Fitness: Refers to having muscles they can lift heavier objects or muscles that will work longer before becoming exhausted muscle fitness also improves when a person does activities that build or maintain muscle strength or that increase how long a person can use their muscles for. Muscular Endurance: Refers to the ability of a given muscle to exert force, consistently and repetitively over a period of time. You might also think of muscular endurance as stamina. Flexibility: Refers to the ability of a joint or a series of joints to move through an unrestricted pain free range of motion. 01.01.2022 One of the greatest memories of working on board the Independence of the seas, was working with the Make A Wish Foundation, helping the amazing young kids, helping them with the Flowrider surf machine. One of the most memorable and one that really made me feel like what I was doing was really making an impact on these young peoples lives. The one session I will never forget was a young man by the name of Nick who suffered from osteosarcoma which is a rear form of bone cancer... that forced his right leg to be amputated above the knee. Listening to Nick and his story and his great attitude not to let it affect him was nothing less then amazing. We had a great session with Nick and his family and it was made special when I convinced Nick that he could definitely ride the Flowrider and when we got him on the wave Nick was nothing less then awesome riding the wave on the Boggie board. This was such a rewarding and humbling experience to help him on the wave and learn about what he went through, also how much his family helped keep his sprits up when he was going through and after his treatment. Such an inspiration to all. I wish you all the best Nick for your future and know that you will be an inspiration to many people. See more
