24.01.2022 Jake Bimrose- Jake's family relocated from Innisfail when he was young and commenced school at All Souls. He finished school in year 10 to commence his apprenticeship as a Cabinet Maker. Once completed he relocated back to Innisfail for 6 years to progress further in the industry. After realising it's not the career he was chasing he moved back home to the Towers to start working for his uncle John. Jake will be starting an adult Carpentry Apprenticeship this year along with... uterlising his background experience in cabinetry. Jake enjoys all things fishing, hitting a game of golf, and spending time with the fam!

23.01.2022 This is why it's called A "FAMILY OWNED AND RUN BUSINESS" GARY HASTIE- Gary is John's younger brother who has just relocated back to Townsville after living in Emerald for quite a few years. Gary is a qualified Electrician and is contracting through John along with Labouring. Gary is a great asset to the team with the skills he posses and a top bloke to have around. ... Gary commutes from Townsville as the boys are in the process of building him and his wife Jo's house, which you would of seen a few progress pics on. :) Gary is a family man and not long became a Poppy for the first time hence the move back up north.

22.01.2022 The guys have been busy smashing out this massive shed based out in Richmond. It has power attached and 250m of underground power. That’s a lot of cable!! 12.01.2022 We love being apart of The Charters Towers Miners Rugby League Club. We go way back with the club starting with John playing for the club and Dylan playing from Mini League up to A Grade. Thanks Guys

12.01.2022 And last but certainly not least :) The man behind the name JOHN HASTIE- John has been in the industry for 37 years now and is originally an Innisfail boy. He completed his apprenticeship in Innisfail with his uncle Des Hastie (another family business). ... John was a massive footy player back then which led him out to the Towers to play for the Charters Towers Miners. After meeting his now wife Kate Hastie (local girl) they relocated up to Cairns for a few years. Kate's dad needed her back in town to start running their family business known back then as AMP so they made the move back to the Towers and John made the decision to start his own Building business now known as " John Hastie Builder". The boys travel and work all over rural QLD and pride themselves on their work. John Hastie Builder wouldn't be the name it is today without the awesome team that stands behind it. Thank you for all the continued support over the years it's much appreciated

10.01.2022 It's about time we introduced the faces behind John Hastie Builder. Dylan Hastie- If you are a local most of you would know or have seen Dylan around the place. He's grown up in the Towers his whole life and decided to follow on in his dad's footsteps and become a Builder. ... He commenced his school based apprenticeship while in grade 11 at All Souls starting out in the family business. Dylan has been a qualified Carpenter for the past few years now and has a great eye for detail. In his spare time you will see him on the footy field playing for the Miners, hitting a round of golf, gone fishing or at the pub

06.01.2022 Well hasn't this been a well kept little secret and definitely a great before and after effect!!! We can now say that Flowers in the Towers is officially open today at their new shop located at the bottom of Gill Street. They have definitely blown us away with their creativity and how great the shop has turned out. Best coffee I have had in a while! 04.01.2022 Nathan Davis- Nathan is our newest member to the team and is also a qualified Carpenter. He is originally from up North and resides in Kurrimine Beach. With all the wet weather that occurs up north Nathan was looking for work and started with the team just after Christmas. Nathan is a great bloke to be around, very hard worker and he completes the JHB team.... He's also a mad fisherman
