Join us on Thursday 29th October from 6pm and enjoy a menu prepared by Padbury's chef to match with some of our fine wines. At last nights Swan Valley Wine show awards presentations, our yet-to-be-released 2015 bottle aged Chenin Blanc took out the Best Chenin Blanc and the Best Swan Valley Table Wine of Show. This is the third consecutive year we have received awards for our Bottle aged Chenins. 17.01.2022 Congratulations John Kosovich Wines for winning Best Chenin Blanc of Australia at the inaugural Australian Chenin Blanc Challenge. The winning wine was the 2015... John Kosovich Reserve Chenin, which also won Best Chenin Blanc of Swan District. Margaret River winery Voyager Estate was awarded Best Young Chenin Blanc of Australia and Best Chenin Blanc of Margaret River for its 2020 Voyager Estate Chenin Blanc. More than 60 wines were submitted from around Australia for the competition judged at Mandoon Estate and organised by the Swan Valley Winemakers. Chenin Blanc has long been the most widely planted white grape variety in the Swan Valley and the region crushes around a third of Australia’s Chenin. This wine is being carefully cellared before release in 12 months time, but our award winning 2014 Chenin has just been released and available

03.01.2022 This time last week it was #DrinkChenin Day and we celebrated in the best way possible - with not 1, but 2 bottles of Aged Chenin Blanc from John Kosovich Wines... in the Swan Valley We already had the 2012 in the wine fridge, which I picked up on my Perth trip last year and the 2013 was from a recent order of a mixed pack of CB’s sold through the Vino Volta website. It was one of those tastings where each time I had a swirl, I was like I definitely prefer the 20__ vintage So it’s safe to say both went down a treat. And I reckon both are still holding up so well that they’ll keep for longer too! 2012: It’s a clear golden shade in the glass with melon, lemon honey and fresh minerality coming through on the nose with a sprinkling of sea salt. In the mouth it’s super smooth with notes of apples , pears and citrus zest. I also reckon there’s some feijoa on the finish. YUM! 2013: It’s a sunshine gold colour in the glass. There’s that fresh minerality coming through on the nose alongside cut apples and sweet timber. In the mouth there’s fresh lime with toasted apple crumble that carries through to a nice lip-licking long finish. Delish! All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
